CVC Basics for Emerging Readers
Great application that reinforces CVC word recognition with an excellent writing function. Lots of fun accessible games that challenge without overwhelming as it presents a young reader to important word families.

Love it!
This app is based on BitsBoard from the same developer. I have BitsBoard Pro, so didn't really need this app as I have the same sets of words in the fuller version. I use BitsBoard all the time with my kindergarten English language learners. I like that with one set of pictures/words I can have my students do a variety of activities at different levels. The kids are always happy to use this app. Some activities they can do independently, others work better when I'm sitting with them. My only complaint is is that some of the functionality in the settings does not work for me when I'm at school, only at home. (Anything that involves internet access.) Clearly that has something to do with our firewall at work, but I wish I knew how to fix it.

Speech therapy
As a speech therapist, I love this app for vowel practice. It is not often, but sometimes kids have vowel errors and this is a great bank of words to practice for them. Even though it's not designed for this it works great! Each group has several different activities that really keep kids engaged while still getting in the high number of repetitions they need.

This is more than just CVC words. Games, puzzles, tracing too. I really like that each section has the option to control the settings so I am able to differentiate for students.

Great for my Special Ed early readers.
My students enjoy choosing the word family they want to work on after finishing the one I assign. I like the way the app lets me keep track of progress, and edit the boards.

Great app for beginning readers. Lots of choice for activities means variety they won't get bored with. I love that you can customize it for whatever you are working on.

I have Bitsboard and like it, but sometimes difficult to use as there are so many choices within it. I like how just one category is broken down in this app!

Not all CVC words
I already have access to these word lists in BitsBoard Pro. Not all words are CVC words. For example, "sting" is one of the listed words and I saw a list for CVCE words. As an SLP, I like it as a quick resource to short words ending with a particular consonant.
