Bug fixes. We apologize for the frequent crashes and odd behaviors encountered when using cWind in recent V1.4 and V1.5 versions. This new version V1.6 fixes the major crashing issues and improves the downwind sailing ability of the competitor boats under spinnaker.

Best sailing game on the app store
This ain’t the America's Cup. It’s just a game. If you want to go sailing, then spend 22 million dollars, get yourself a nice boat, and head for the Isle of Mann. If you just want to have a little fun playing a sailing game, then download this one.

Has some real problems, hope they fix them.
If you are racing friends in beginner mode it works good, but if you are in solo mode in the two advanced levels forget it, you will just get mad.
The bad: Going downwind, the wind direction changes wildly every time you trim in, so that you can not get any speed. Unfortunately, your the only one this happens to and not the whole fleet. When rounding marks expect anyone on a port tack to hit you, they do not try to avoid you as in a real race, and when that happens you will loose. When you get hit by the AI sailboats they can do a 720 before you go 20 feet. If you do the fouling by the time you finish your 720 the entire fleet is almost to the next mark. This is where the model falls apart. It's not the same for both you and the AI's, if it was it would be a really great program.
The good: The for new racers is seeing who has right of way, 2 changes that would make it much better would be to post that info at the top or bottom of the screen in green or red text so that you would know instantly what action to take, and being able to review each encounter after the race. The start process, is what you would expect in a real race.
I hope the developer will be able to fix the issues above and the short comings how you see right of way, as this app has the opportunity to be something really great. I could see us at the yacht club racing on our iPads in the off season with this app.

Crap app not sailors , failed math. Says relative wind angle is 45degrees when its 90, has this boat doing 60km. Steering is awful, wind is a joke. Its obvious that maker is more into $$$$ than accuracy needs lots of work..

Great app and support
An excellent app to help tune your skills when you can't be on the water. The multiplayer function is great for bragging rights amongst your family and friends. I was having a problem with the app when I first got it and emailed the support team. They responded right away with some suggestions and then kept me informed about the progress they were making to fix it. Less than two weeks later they emailed me again telling me to keep an eye out for the update and sure enough, no more problems.

Needs (to rotate 180) needs shading, lighting improved graphics.
GREAT sim, graphics could be better (smoother edges, water improved) etc. But main annoyance is the screen won't rotate. My ipads are always in a case with keyboard. This means that they are always oriented with the home button on the right. (it's the only way they fit in the case). so unless I remove it from case and keyboard I can't play the sim. Not practical to hold the ipad, case and keyboard upside down to play. Also check out the water graphics in "top sailor". Your sim now works well, but time to improve the 80's level graphics. Needs shading, lighting and transparency.

If you sail, a great game
I'm seriously impressed. This is exactly what I've wanted in an iOS sailing game/simulation. I could see how it would be hard for someone who has never sailed before to pick this game up, but then again, I could see this being a great tool for learning points of sail and tacticionship (yes, I made that word up). For a seasoned sailor this is great way to combat those sailing urges when you can't get on the water.
Gave 5 stars because it was everything I wanted in a racing simulator. But, I would like to see improvements in graphics and environment interaction (such as darker water for wind puffs) in later updates. Overall not perfect but very very good...

BEST SAILING APP FOR IPHONE (in my opinion)
I'm a regatta fan. I tried top sailor-meh. But this one is amazing. The strategy is great, it's loads of fun, the boat selection is wonderful l. I do not have many complaints about this app. How ever these are the ones I could muster up. The tanker entering the course is a bit weird. And there is no strategy tutorial. But that's really it. I love this game.

Great but needs tweaks
This is a great sailing simulator, but the other boats are far too likely to run into you and each other, ruining a great race at the last minute. Even in the beginner mode the other boats should still know and obey right of way rules. And why are there oil tankers passing through the race course? Aside from being unrealistic they are just plain annoying. I've never watched a major regatta interrupted by oil tankers. Some additional sail controls would be a great addition, too.

Sloppy and not fun
For the price it is, I expected much more care. The UI is very sloppy (looks and feels like a DOS game from the 90's); the playability is poorly thought through (e.g. message boxes pop up in the middle of the screen, covering your boat so you can't see... but your race still continues!); the computer AI is very basic (e.g. why do the boats always run into each other?); and the rules are completely unrealistically enforced (e.g. Rule 15 seems to not exist at all).
Summary: WAY overpriced, poorly developed, frustrating to play.
