Description

Alert your friends, family, and even concerned persons nearby when in danger.
• The D.A.D.™ pepper spray flashlight uses an iBeacon to alert your phone
• Your location is calculated by your phone
• Your phone sends out text message, email and app alerts to your contacts
• Users with the D.A.D.™ app also get alerts from people in danger close by
• Send an “I’m OK” alert if the alert is set off accidentally
• “I’m OK” requires a secret PIN so it can’t be sent by your attacker

Caution: Entering linked contacts is not supported.

Read our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and other important information in the legal section of our App Store description.

D.A.D.™ uses GPS and other Location Services to determine your whereabouts in the background, which can shorten battery life.

Mark Wagner,
Great idea, buggy app
I really like this idea but the app is in serious need of a quality developer. Very buggy. Navigation has dead-ends, no way to go back, poor input validation, and more. Be sure to look at the reviews for All Version for this app to better understand the issues people are having. - Jul 19, 2017

D.A.D. responded on Oct 13, 2017 (almost 3 months later), asking me to provide examples. This delayed response speaks volumes. I can only say I deleted this app months ago and I’m not your quality assurance testing team. Furthermore, I did provide examples/areas in the app in my original review, information that should give a development team (or single developer) areas to investigate and test. As I said originally - great idea, buggy app. I wish you the best of success. My biggest concern is an app of this nature and importance must be reliable when it is needed and used, and after using the app during my review of it indicated it’s as not ready for prime-time - to save someone’s life. All the best.
FMF2014,
Great Idea. Not so great software.
Idea has promise but, the app has some bugs. There are several things that make the app give false messages. An inventory gun in a bar kept setting off the app. The app keeps going off while driving down the road even if the D. A. D. is not in the car. There is something out there using the same technology as the D. A. D. that keeps activating it. Needs some work. My daughter’s D. A. D. Keeps sending false danger messages. She had decided to delete the app from her phone.
AJTSweat,
Genius idea and incredible product!!
****Updated after a year****
Still using this amazing app and product. Some people complained about it crashing, the new version works perfectly! I was on a bike ride with my two young girls, under 5, when I was about to pass out. (I have a heart condition that makes it stop beating some times.) I pressed the alert button on my D.A.D. and my parents were immediately able to call me and come to my aid, making sure me and my girls were okay. The D.A.D. is one of the greatest ways to protect yourself ever created. With this app and the Bluetooth technology it literally cannot be beat. I have NEVER felt more safe! Genius idea and incredible product!
SJG430,
False alerts
I have had my dad for all of 1 day and it’s already sent a false alert. I love the concept but I’m deleting the app until this is fixed, and after reading similar accounts of false alerts, it seems like Tigerlight either doesn’t know how to doesn’t care to fix the issue. This is major concern because you’re either terrifying everyone with false alerts or they’ll get to the point where they think the app is crying wolf again and not come to your rescue. Both scenarios make this app completely useless and somewhat dangerous. Tigerlight you need to fix this. This tech is the reason why I bought this product in the first place and now I just have a $130 canister of pepper spray in a pretty plastic case. What was the point of that.
Familymom2-3,
Amazing!
Just bought 3 more D.A.D. 2 for my family! The app has worked flawlessly for us. I can’t even tell you how good it feels to send your child out with friends knowing they have this to protect them from anything. On top of that, I will be alerted with their location if they do use it. I also don’t go anywhere without it! Love love love!!!
Roadsmoker,
Confusing alerts
Ive only received a few alerts, one was an “I’m OK” from Ryan K. All the others seem to be from ME. Yesterday I was 1/4 mile away from a danger alert. Luckily my wife was driving. I jumped out of the truck and darted across 4 lanes of stopped traffic to run to the location.....nothing. That’s when I noticed all my danger alerts had my own name attached. Will someone please explain this? I’ve tried looking up a way to contact the developer but had to settle for this review.
nuny@bwax,
Good concept bad execution
Constantly receive and sends false alerts. Get notifications telling me I am in danger. Worry about crying wolf and ignoring an alert that is actually real.

New app is amazing!
I love this product so much! I keep one by my bedside and one in my purse. I have been so grateful to have it by my side on numerous occasions. The new app works perfectly and gives me so much piece of mind knowing my family and friends will be contacted if I’m ever in danger. Thumbs up!!!
BJS69#,
Great Concept!
The crowd alert is a wonderful feature. I like the idea of people nearby coming to my aid. Much quicker than 911, especially in remote locations.
ECB1180,
False alerts
So, I downloaded this app a few days ago because I purchased the pepper sprayer / alert for my wife. The app has sent false alerts 2 days in a row. I don’t have the app open and only opened it to send an I’m ok alert. What good is a safety device you can’t trust. We’ll probably be sending the pepper sprayer back if this continues again.
