so EASY TO USE!!!
i’m a native English speaker with a little previous experience exploring apps to improve my 重文 writing. this app is the easiest to use so far! just open, search for a word or phrase to practice, then start practicing! that simple! i recently deleted another app because for some reason it didn’t allow me to practice all the characters if a phrase. 😡

i LOVE LOVE LOVE that Daily Mandarin teaches you TRADITIONAL Chinese characters instead of only simplified! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Pretty good, but beware of incorrect pinyin
I find this app quite helpful for learning/practicing writing characters. One thing I noticed however if that the pronunciation is not always correct when a character may have multiple pronunciations.

For example: from HSK1 level, 读 “to read” shows the pronunciation “dòu”, when it should be “dú”. “Dòu” is one way to pronounce the character, but not when referring to the verb “to read”.

I have found several examples of this problem for various characters in the app. So just be aware of that while using it. It would be great if the developers could resolve those issues.

The best but where’s traditional?
I absolutely love this. I’ve been practicing daily so far. I’ve taken Chinese in college years ago and want to keep up with it so this is a huge help but this is simplified characters, I would like to switch to traditional and it’s killing me! Still 5 stars tho.

Useful But Not Always Right
Okay, this app is quite good because it has the stroke order to basically all of the words you would ever need to know. It is also ENTIRELY free, which is amazing! The only problem is that a few characters have wrong stroke orders. The stroke orders are only a bit wrong though, like two strokes are misplaced but that’s about it. For having no ads, being free, and including a lot of words, it’s worth the few mistakes.

Has lots of potential, but not very usable
I tried this app out, and I have a few major concerns. I wish there was a playlist feature, where it would automatically move on to the next character once you finish writing one. I also dislike the way that the handwriting looks. It is pixelated and ugly. Is there any way to make the handwriting look a little smoother? I really think it would be helpful to learn stroke order, but this app would be difficult to use in its current state.
🥰💜✨🤡😊,
great app!
i am learning mandarin and this is so helpful, it has all the stroke orders for any character i want to learn and it also shows the definitions. it has all the hsk levels with the words in that level too! very helpful for learning
zacubaru,
It’s pretty good but some things to note before downloading:
-audio doesn’t do anything (i’ve tried turning silent mode off as well)
-some pinyin translations are wrong
-the only functions it has is the english translation and handwriting practice which if it had more features like how it’s used in a sentence; that would be much more helpful
