Description

Tracking what you eat and how much you excerise is shown to be an effective tool in losing weight and keeping it off.

To help you set goals and stick with them, you have a daily food budget and a weekly bonus. All foods have a cost associated with them. The food you eat is subtracted from your daily budget. If you go over your daily budget, the cost is subtracted from your weekly bonus. You can boost your daily budget by performing exercise.

The app is well suited for people who follow a commercial weight lose plan or simply want to count calories. It includes a searchable 3600+ food database, from the USDA National Nutrient Database, which includes several popular chain restaurants, and brand name foods. The Activity list has over 240 different exercises and budget boosting values.

To determine your daily budget please consult your medical professional.

Wghobbs,
Can’t add new weight.
Wont allow me to add new weight.
bnzgrl,
Can’t see daily food items
LOVED this app for many years (since about 2010). I don’t think it’s active anymore because I haven’t seen an opportunity to update. Everything is working except when I click on the daily “food” icon (bottom left) it glitches out of the app and back to my home screen…which is annoying when you want to see your daily list of consumed food. That is the most important info I want to access, and I can’t. PLEASE UPDATE IF YOU STILL CAN! I noticed the website is gone now too… :(
Slappy369,
Latest update super buggy
With the latest update it constantly erases my whole days food log. It erases the current day I’m on after I finish it. It also erases the days in the future when I’m trying to plan ahead. Getting very sick of having to keep adding the same things over and over just to have it erased.
RidgefieldBob,
Use to be a great go to app but not now?
I can not trust this app any longer it does not function since the apparent last update. I will enter meals only to have them totally disappear later? I can not add a food item to the Food Management list? I'm at a loss trying to make this app work for me.
rlinke,
Nice app
The only gripe I have is It won’t display in lbs, even though I have made it so in settings.
Mommy manager,
Shows promise
So far, this is the only points tracking app that I've found that has a database lookup. I was very excited about that till I started browsing the db. The amount of scrolling that is required is a bit cumbersome but tolerable. The most glaring problem I've seen so far is that the points don't seem to be calculated for the points plus program. I know I can change them manually but that kind of defeats the purpose of looking up in the first place.

I would also love it if the app could show remaining points on the app icon as another tracker app I have does. It's so handy to just be able to look at the phone screen and see my points rather than having to open my tracker.

I'll continue using this app because it is very functional and helpful and I'll be waiting for the updates to make it into the 5 star app I know it can be!
Smccrary,
LoveIt!
This app had all that I need.
klb12345,
great app
Glad I found this app. It has everything I was looking for. Just a couple tweeks would be nice to make it perfect. In the quick entry screen, it starts every item out with a 0.00 value, so before I enter the value I have to erase the 0.00. It would save time if each box started out blank. Also when I entered 2 servings for an item it did not multiply to double the points used. Instead I had to go back to double it manually to make sure the correct points were deducted from my daily allowance. Last when I enter a food in the quick entry screen, it would be nice to have the option to "add to favorite foods list" right on that screen (maybe a button). That way I don't have to go in later and reenter it. Those are just very minor things. This app is otherwise wonderful and I know I will get a ton of use out of it! Thanks so much :)
Lhvnvt1,
Easy to use
This app really has helped me lose weight! Easy to use, once you get the hang of it. I love the "save your favorite foods" feature, which is a shortcut way to record your calories. And you can "create" your own favorite (I make a fruit shake every morning, so rather than enter all of the individual ingredients every morning, I just created one "favorite" with all of my ingredients and calories imbedded in one entry). One small criticism: I can't seem to get the app to delete a "self-created" favorite like my shake, so if I mistakenly enter the wrong # of calories for a favorite I create, I can't delete it and start over - or at least I can't figure out how to do it,, and the directions/help function doesn't say. (I'm hoping the creator will fix this soon.). But overall, this is a great app to help you lose weight, and it's easy to use, even for me, a 55 yr old woman like me!
Barcho,
Love the layout BUT...
I've been using a points based system to track and maintain my weight for over 9 years. This is the BEST layout I have seen for the iPhone but..... there is a MAJOR flaw. In order to enter any type of point you are REQUIRED to look up each and every food from the list that is in the program. If you already know what the point value is, why force me to look it up and go through thousands of foods in a list that I probably will never eat. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME!!!! Great layout though... love the whole design other than that but I deleted this an hour after I got it because its basically a not usable when you have to look everything up to enter it. Ditch the food list Keith and replace it with a food calculator. Your making this WAYYYYY too hard for everyone including yourself!!!!
