Description
"Danger Zones: Campus Safety" is an app for use by college and university students to note their safety-related experiences and perceptions of on- and off-campus locations. Using Augmented Reality, "Danger Zones: Campus Safety" invites students to place a variety of descriptive virtual icons on whatever they are viewing using their camera. Students can also add descriptive text to provide additional context. The location, image, icons, descriptions, and optional demographic information are recorded and used to document and describe students' perceptions and experiences regarding safety. Danger Zones was developed with funding provided by the Georgia Department of Public Health through corporate agreement CDC-RFA-CE19-1902 from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
