Good news: Eipix generally stuck to script, giving us a game about as good as the original Blue Tea series, enough for me to want to continue with Dark Parables entries.
Semi-good: the HO plays are a bit over the top, what with the addition of timed “ratings” (why? - no apparent reward status is provided regardless of performance) and fanfares, et. al.
Bad news: not so bad, but watch out for a glitch - the standard addition of a “Portal” within the game has been ceded to the hint button, where, when engaged to show direction, will produce a portal if you are more than two rooms away from your destination. DON’T USE IT! You will freeze the game and it will crash. Instead proceed to your next move room by room.
Morphing objects are now awards to parts of parables - if you miss one, you do not get to read them after you finish the game.

NEW PROBLEM
After fixing the crash in Chapter 3 ; I truly loved this game, I think of all the Dark Parables, this one was the bomb! However, after playing several times, it would not keep track , nor display moons collected on screen, or any of the other achievements, big fish, tea cups, etc. it also would not keep accurate count of moons . One instance in the main game I had collected 43 moons! PLEASE FIX, Still not fixed! It was my favorite......leaflet

I give this game one star because it crashes! Half way through it gives me a black screen and boots back to the home screen. I have tried all the solutions. Have uninstalled the thing 3 times and still get the same thing. Not always at the same scene. If not for this I would give it 5 stars. So frustrating . Hate starting all over and then go through the same thing again!! GRRRRR!

Enjoyable game the second time around but avoid this
The first time I tried to play this game ended in the game crashing. It wasn’t until then that I noticed others have had experience with the game crashing. I guess I didn’t check the reviews first. I started over and when I got to the point that the game was going to crash, I used hints to get me around the room that caused it last time and was able to finish the game. It’s a little annoying to have to do this. BTW, the area that caused the crashing issue for me was the area before the Eel Feeding area. Since Big Fish doesn’t appear likely to fix this game, I’d avoid it

Loved playing this! Nice and long. The story and artwork is amazing! I had no trouble with gameplay or crashing issues.. Although I do agree with another reviewer about some of the hos just being a tap frenzy.. And also another reviewer on the achievements and collectibles and not being able to see your progress.. The map is great and really helps you keep track of where to go.. All in all definitely worth the price! 💌

Crashes every time
This started off as a great game. However, it continually crashes and, unlike their other games, the developer does not seem to be interested in fixing this game. I could easily see myself giving this game 4 or 5 stars otherwise!
After reloading and avoiding doing anything in the 'throneroom'. I finished it. If it weren't for all the crashes and program instability, this game would get 5 stars.

Dark Parables: Little Mermaid and the Purple Tide
I'm getting REALLY tired of paying for games that keep crashing. This is at least, the 3rd game that I have purchased from Big Fish that continues crashing on me. I have to uninstall, then reinstall, only for it to crash once again in another section of the game. It kind of defeats the purpose of enjoyment, don't you think. And I'm just not willing to pay for that. I have bought MANY games from Big Fish...for my iPad as well as my Apple laptop. And frankly, I'm just tired of the lack of quality in gaming.

Great game, but needs some tweaking.
The game is awesome. However, there were one or two glitches. I have played the game several times, and I've noticed that there was a dialogue scene between the king and the mermaid missing from when I first moved on to throne room. I don't know if was do to a glitch or if it was taken out on purpose.

A little more than “meh”
This one was ok. A few glitches here and there but never got booted out. The story was fragmented... Sometimes confusing. I don’t like using hints and I gotta say there were so many scenes that I surrendered to the button quite a bit. BEST part? Finishing up both stories and getting to return and hunt down Souvenirs and missing moons. I like to complete the whole game.

3rd consecutive BF game I've had to delete from CRASH
I've been with Big Fish for about 15 years.....back in the days of the pond...sniff....and faunasphere sniff sniff......but I'm really thinking about stopping my game membership as well as never buying another of their iPad games. The lack of QC is deplorable. Also, this was a redownload because until recently, I was purchasing EVERYTHING BFG put on iPad for one time purchase. Maybe they just make more money with the freemium type games and don't bother updating their "keep forever" games.
