An OK Game
I started out finding this game confusing and am almost finished and still find it so. Beautiful graphics and a lot of care and work went into it, but ultimately I think that is the problem ....over kill. If you like long challenging games even on the easiest level then this is the game for you. Another poster said that a couple of parts don't work on iPad and it is true...just skip over them. Good try but I am a tad sorry I bought it, and I am a game veteran. I won't be doing the bonus this time.

Disappointing
The introductory music was great, but I don't like having the sound on, sooooo. The graphic were beautiful. But, the game left much to be desired. The intro was too long, and I skip that stuff anyway, so it meant nothing to me. I wanted to PLAY! I finally got to a scene with no idea what I was supposed to do. I tapped around but received messages if "not now." I ended up using the hint button way too often, and I disliked that. Going from scene to scene, was confusing. The balance game was impossible because it, like the HO scene, didn't respond quickly enough, though I WAS tapping. So I skipped that game and moved on. In the entire free sample there was only one HO scene. It was confusing because as you tapped the items they didn't disappear, they moved aside to reveal a puzzle piece. I thought that might be interesting. It wasn't. I wanted a map, but found none. I figured out how to use the boots because of the print about the mother using the boots. I couldn't figure out the medallion at first, not sure, even now, exactly what it was for. Over all it was frustratingly confusing and no fun at all. I WON'T be buying this game.

Creative, beautifully made series
I love the entire Dark Realm series because the developers have really made an effort to create an immersive world. I appreciate their creativity and attention to small details, such as characters breaking the 4th wall and manipulating parts of my screen or the game controls; I also love it when I attempt to use an object in a scene and can watch my attempt play out and fail (instead of nothing happening at all). These details are above and beyond what I’ve seen in other hidden-object games and show the thoughtfulness of the developers. What’s more, I feel invested in the characters due to the continuity throughout the series (and great voice actors). Yes, I occasionally skip puzzles, but they’re supposed to be challenging—that’s the point—and I’m grateful for custom settings so I can choose to skip or not as I like. If you want an experience that’s more than the usual click-click-clicking, I highly recommend the Dark Realm series.

Incredible!
Fantastic job to developers! I couldn't put it down! Everything about it was incredible! The graphics, the artwork, the characters, the music! This game grabbed my attention from the very beginning to the end credits, which were also very entertaining to watch. I love the drawings of the faces of the people who made this wonderful game. That was excellent! I loved that!
At the end of the game, the extras menu makes it all the less disappointing that the game is over. I love that you can go back and find any flames you might have missed, (i thought I got them all but missed a few, very well placed)! The hops are available to play and the card game with the funny little man you have to beat for a ride in his balloon. Its all just great! I also enjoyed very much watching the making of Queen of Flames. Hats off for the hours and hard work and dedication that you all put in to this.

The silver coin puzzle is stuck. :(
I am at the point in the game where I am trying to go talk to the queen. I pulled a sword and initiated a puzzle where a square magnifier window hovers over coins and I must find three silver coins. Upon finding them all, the game makes a reward sound and a flash as it moves the three coins into my inventory, and it shows that I now have 4/4 silver coins in my inventory (you start with one already from the balloon pilot), which should have ended the minigame, but it's stuck!
Closing all apps and restarting the game does not fix the error (it is still stuck in the puzzle) and I can't tap the "X" to close the minigame window because the square magnifier overlay window persists. Since there is no map with teleportation, there is no way out of this puzzle. The only options are to start over, or uninstall/reinstall the game. :( #boo

Amazing Queen of Flames🔥🔥🔥🔥
This is a new Fantasy-Adventure series from Mad Head Games the creators of Rite of Passage and Nevertales series so if you liked them you will Love this one. The story is fantastic graphics amazing great voice overs so much to see and do. Good transporting map inventory is labeled has great interactive/multiple part HOS with morphing objects in them, puzzles are challenging but not impossible this is long playing game and you are collecting Flames in each scene some are well hidden well worth the price have not had any problems/glitches

Mad Head Games Rules!
Hands down my favorite game developer ever! So far every game has been worthy of 5 stars! Storyline, graphics, voice overs, HOP and mini games are all top notch. Toss in extra items to find throughout the game, morphing objects, an integrated map that can be used for fast travel, a good hint system, skip option for mini games, and a players guide and their games have everything I look for in a HOAG! Also I have a first generation iPad Air and had no technical issues at all!!! Please Big Fish and Mad Head keep games like this coming!

Beautiful and inventive but buggy
This could be a five star, but there are small bugs in places and then a huge stopper in the bonus chapter. I'm totally stuck with a modal window open and no way to close it or bypass. Game is frozen there; I can't finish the bonus play. And so far it looks like the only suggested way to "fix" it is to delete the game and reinstall. That would of course delete all progress. NOT something I want to do.
Until then, I was enjoying the game quite a bit.

AMAZING
I am actually still playing this game and I love it enough to stop and write a review. The graphics are amazing, the story line is engaging and I love all of the different puzzles and things you have to do. This is not a simple HO game, although there are still plenty of HO scenes...a lot of thought and ingenuity went into creating unique puzzles and ways of interacting with the game. I am LOVING this game. I have the iPad version and had no trouble at all with the balancing portion of the game like another reviewer did.

Froze Twice
This is my kind of puzzle game! It is filled with unique puzzles and has more puzzles to solve than HOPs.
However, this game froze early on before I purchased it. I closed all apps running in the background and did a full system restart, this did not fix the game. So I deleted it and had to start all over. I purchased it, but I shouldn't have because now I am hours into the game (at the Temple) and it is frozen AGAIN! Im so aggravated!! I would like a refund as I have no interest in deleting, downloading, starting over again, and wasting time to reach my current point in the game.
Without the freezing/crashing issues, this is a five star game!
