Description

Darkroom Formulas contains a database with over 160 chemical formulas from Digitaltruth.com including film developers, print developers, toners, reducers, intensifiers and more. Users can edit existing formulas or add their own favorite recipes.

The app contains a powerful Volume Mixer allowing all ingredients to be adjusted proportionally on-the-fly. No more messing around with complex calculations, simply change the final volume and every ingredient changes automatically!

Your own saved formulas can be exported and shared by email, or stored externally as a back up.

The app includes all the data internally, so there is no need to connect to the internet to use it. Simply download and store in your pocket. Ideal for lab technicians and other darkroom users who need to mix formulas from scratch.

Formulas can include up to 3 part mixes (eg. Part A, Part B, Part C) and each part can contain up to 10 ingredients, allowing a maximum total of 30 ingredients. Available units are ml, g, fl oz, oz, tsp, grains and drops.

Lifetime free updates, no ads, no add-ons.

fafa72,
Short on formulas and other basics..
I have been mixing darkroom chemistry for 20+ years and was disappointed by the lack of basic formulas, like plan old hypo fixer, 2L of H2O at 125f and 480g of Hypo.. Or one of the dozens of variations of Ansco 130. Also it needs some basic conversion tables, they do come in handy, and some basic safe handling instructions for the chemistry.

I do like that I can add my formulations with notes for future reference. Right now the app is not worth the $6.
T. Jinkinz,
A good number of developers and other film/paper chemistry
Pretty straight fowled. Seems pretty good as far as a database of recipes. Will have have to go through them a bit to see if anything is unique. But definitely a good quick reference and like the fact that it's available on my pad/phone whenever curious/needed. I like digital, but I love with film and paper analog processes... Devotion what can you say.

Graphical rendering issues leave app inoperable
After just having downloaded this app (attempting in both iPhone and iPad), this app appears broken at present. The opening menu does not render beyond halfway down the length of the screen. Other screens are similarly broken. Of note, I tried the total volume selector inside the ‘new chemical wizard’, and got no keyboard or number prompt. Nor could I access any sort of dialog box. Please have a look at the code base.
