Paul Griffith,
Great Content, Runs Very Smoothly
I’m just getting the iPad app after reading DawgNation articles only via other apps. It seems like nearly all of the Georgia Bulldogs articles which I find most interesting come from DawgNation, so I decided to go this route. I hesitated when I saw the 3-1/2 stars for reviews, and it seems that the lower ratings had to do with the app’s performance rather than content or organization.

Well, today the app loads and changes pages seamlessly. I’ve jumped around quite a bit, scrolled down some lengthy articles with plenty of photos, and followed some links from within articles. Perhaps some work has been done since those low ratings were given? Consistently, everything is running very smoothly — very nice app!
Ga always on my mind 71,
Review of DawgNation *****
DawgNation provides an excellent transmission of information about news relating to Georgia Athletic events, the players, coaches, and videos highlighting all of the above! As a Georgia alumni and avid fan, I look forward to the updates, news, and schedules which it provides. It is my go to source for staying knowledgeable about what is happening in UGA events. It unifies our fan base and allows us to feel a part of the university we love and support! Thank you DawgNation!

ShellDawg1980,
The new DawgNation mobile app is not user friendly
Love Love Love Dawg Nation but the new mobile app typically forces users to scroll down and dig for the most recent articles, and, on top of that, it doesn’t show a visible date on the articles. The content is organized by individual author/their column and not by how recent the content was published. This is a mistake. When we open the app we see the same top-of-page article for several days instead of the site’s most recent article (which most of the time we have to dig for). This is the opposite of the Dawg Nation website and of the old app. Users simply want to quickly check the app for new news/developments while standing in line or while watching their kids at a playground, and the idea of digging for undated new content requires more work than competitor UGA sites. I highly recommend reordering content in the style of the old app and the current desktop site. THANK YOU FOR YOUR GREAT WORK AND GO DAWGS! This is a simple fix.
PR Dude,
Good But Not Great
Overall I enjoy the stories posted on DawgNation. If the site made a few improvements it would be a great pup.

1. Cutdown on the number of typos. Granted, these appear in every publication, but there are too many on this site.

2. Word usage. To be honest, there aren't that many, though incorrectly words is like putting BBQ sauce on a salad, leaving a bad taste in the mind of readers.

3. In too many instances, stories about high school recruits don't provide the hometown and high school until deep in the stories. In rare instances they aren't listed at all. As I 30-year sports writing/editing veteran, I always included that information in the lead.

5. There's an editing app, Grammarly. It's far superior to spell check and I use it with all of my professional work. It's inexpensive provides a great assist to all of my copy.

That's it. Again, I enjoy y'all's work and enjoy the timely nature of the stories. Go Dawgs!
who feffin cares,
App change
I do not like the changes to the app it’s very cumbersome to try and navigate to find what I’m looking for. Everyone thinks change is good sometimes it’s needed but most of the time it’s unnecessary!
The other stupid thing that will cause me to delete you App is before I proceed I’m required to enter a nickname ! For ten minutes which is a ten minute waste of time I’ve entered thirty nicknames that are all taken!
So I’ll get one to work then delete your f up app!
Good bye
UGAinArk,
Listening from Arkansas
I like Sentell and Griffith as guests!

While I admire his enthusiasm, BA doesn’t repeat information to make a point; he repeats the same phrases too often, wasting time. Maybe he occasionally listens to his broadcasts. If not, it would be good to do so.

Too bad your business model requires BA to be a human advertising billboard. But I do like the added empathy BA is making in Meriweather services. It’s the kind truth.

BA can ask questions to guests in shorter form. Too much time is spent giving the answer as part of the question. That makes it easier for guests to answer but it’s boring to me. The guest needs to dig a little bit to give their own opinion.

Kroger is a joke here. Glad you have positive things to say about them in GA.
Ficfhv,
App Display
Love DawgNation, I’ve always been one to give this app 10/10. I do think with somewhat recent updates and the platform change of the app was a knock to that however. I do feel that the different types of stories are coming across less frequent and is overall a bit harder to navigate. You guys are always doing updates though so it will improve again!
Pebblebrook bulldog,

I enjoy your show so much . I listen everyday for two years now . First year I started listening you spoke a championship into existence. The second year you spoke a championship into existence. I think I will just keep on listening for the third year in a row and let’s keep this streak going. So much fun listening to you and the dogs winning’s championship go dogs
phileophan,
More content, please
Seems like when it went to new format, the number of articles went down. I used to read several articles per day, now it seems the same content is on day after day. Maybe start doing in depth profiles of players and families if nothing else to report.
Andrew Joiner,
New App Design = Fail
I’m a daily reader of DawgNation, but since the redesign I’ve been going to my phone’s web browser instead of the app.

Aesthetically the app design fine, but the new app page no longer presents the newest items at the top. It’s confusing to navigate the various sections down the page to determine which articles are new and which older.

This is a basic programming premise - readers should be able to immediately and intuitively recognize the freshest content when they open the app, but that is impossible on the new app. That’s a fail.
