Description:
Weapons and magic are embodied in cards
that you can build into a deck and then use to
defeat monsters in this card battle RPG.

Test different combinations to learn how to master
the cards in your own unique way and save the world!

Story:

There was once a mysterious land where weapons,
magic and items were embodied in special cards. Ones who
studied the art of handling these all-powerful cards over long years
were called “card-users,” and the five kings of the land relied on them
to maintain peace and balance.

However, one day, reports of monsters attacking towns and
travelers suddenly spread throughout all the kingdoms.

At that time, a young boy began a journey in Firsta, a land known for its bold adventurers.
What secrets will he uncover in his quest to becoming a master card-user?

Graphics & Sound
-Classic, retro-style pixel art

-Colorful characters like guild clerks and card shop owners
create a unique world for the tale to unfold in.

-Exciting battle music! Play with the volume up!

System & Tutorial

1: Deck making

-Choose 20 cards to build a deck.
You can have multiple cards of the same type.

-Focus on aggressive attacks, support abilities or any other style.
Try to find your own winning combination.

-Your hit points (HP) differ depending on what deck you use.
It is important to maintain a balance between cards with
powerful techniques and ones that grant a lot of HP.

2: Battles

-A horde of deadly monsters awaits you.
Tailor your deck to the strengths and weaknesses of your foes!

-Buy new cards with reward money for clearing out monsters!
Equip yourself with new, powerful weapons as you fight your
way across the land.

-Different cards are available in different towns.
Can you collect every type of card in your explorations?

3: Adventuring tips

-The Guild will always offer new monster-hunting jobs
and tell you where monsters can be found.

-The adventurers that gather at the Guild have plenty of
good information. They may even tell unusual tales that
don’t involve the usual monster talk.

Ploop99,
Solid game with little reward
The game is easy to pick up and put down. Mostly played in between commutes. However, moving between different kingdoms creates power creeps from previously accessible cards. You'll never use magic attack or physical attack cards once you receive stronger ones.

Your HP is the only stat you control, while attack is determined by specific card. Essentially, you level up by acquiring higher HP with the better cards in the new area. No elemental resistances for magical attacks, and physical attack cards reign supreme. Game can become a tad repetitive if you've figured out the optimal strategy. Final boss was surprisingly satisfying to destroy with triple power Ice Sword!!!

Overall, would recommend if you want a short (took me about a week with 30-60 min sessions two to three times a day) and visually appealing game with little variation of strategy, but high on visuals and card collecting. The music is charming and fits with setting. The story is pretty light, as well as town exploration.

Game follows pattern:

Go to town, talk to shop owner for items in town, and guild owner for details on monsters in the area. Each area has 4 monsters. Rinse and repeat until you find Kingdom's Castle. Talk to King and receive cards, then fight whatever monster king wants you to slay (usually two strongest monster in their kingdom) and bring back item for him. You'll then be granted passage into the subsequent chronological kingdom. Continue process until reaching final 5th land.

Heavy Boomerang
Fire Sword

Model 118,
Love this game
I bought this years ago and was wondering if there will be a 2 ?
It has so much character and personality. Art style is clean, music is great story is fun. After making my own game I know how hard it is and makes me appreciate this even more. I need a part 2.
stun 6,
Glitches is a dealbreaker when giving money
They should seriously play test this, especially when grinding for gold/money in this game , because that’s where it starts glitching for me the most or in that case, glitches me out of the app game. Don’t get the wrong idea ,It is a great game. I just don’t tolerate glitches/dysfunctions if I spend my money on anything.
Kenjammin3,
Bug if you beat a salamander before you talk to the king in the last area.
I love the game, the artwork is fantastic. But I was unable to beat it due to a game breaking glitch that stopped me from advancing and fighting the final boss. Can't recommend a game that's broken at such a critical point, sorry.
thespaciousmind,
Dead end, unbalanced game
If you dont spend coins wisely, you basically have to start over. Cant grind and redo levels for gold. Poorly balanced.
「Diver Down」,
Great card battler
Super fun, but gets a tad repetitive. Wish combat and the story had more to it.
MrVariant,
Card farming
This game improved its translation over its initial release so the dialogue is ok save for the numbered town names. The quick mode also hastens battle speed which is good.

The problem with Deckmake Fantasy is that it gets repetitive, especially in the beginning when you have a deck full of short swords that are terrible and have no combos. At least you get a couple of fireballs and the stronger cards make the game more interesting. You also need to be able to sell outdated cards too. I do like the fact there is some strategy, like using a buckler against hobgoblins, whose charge attack gets crippled when you raise your defense.

The game is fairly underrated as a lot of online reviews do not include the most recent version of the game that is a nice improvement especially when you get going with some nice cards.
wrip,
Not worth the money, not worth the time
This game is fun for about ten minutes. If you're the kind of person who wants to enjoy the first few things that happen in a game and then slog through their merciless and completely boring reoccurrence for another six or seven hours, then this is for you. The themes are pretty juvenile and lack imagination. The mechanic is decent, but totally overworked by the time you're done. Also, the difficulty level is all over the map. Instead of a steady increase, it seemed to be hard in certain pockets and developed very unpredictably (the last chapter was by far the easiest). I'd pay $0.99 for this, and be mildly annoyed. But after dropping four bucks, I'm ticked enough to actually write a review on how bad it really is. AVOID THIS ONE.
DC Bueller,
Good fun times
As other reviews have mentioned the English is downright Engrishy, but I think it makes it a bit humorous rather than detracting from anything, although some situations will come up where it can be a bit confusing.

That's about my only con in this game. It's enjoyable and nowhere NEAR as frustrating as the Culdcept series. I like the different card strategies, although at act 3, that I'm currently at now, I'm breeding through the fights fairly easily, and only lost one or two just in the beginning while trying to figure out the system.

Definitely worth the purchase if you're looking for an easy fun card fighting game to get into.
Knux64,
10 stars and wow.. These guys get it
Im a school ff1,2,3,6,7,8,9,10,10-2,13,12-2,14, and in between workaholic antisocial, gym rat and this is the game to pass time when you chillin for no reason and smart enough to really distract you from the day and when your body is too sore to workout it will remind you that it likes you too so play with it.. Long story short I don't have to spend money one this game to have fun it's x10 stars for how smart it is and that whom ever did this has to be tired of paying for things to play because grinding is too hard on other games and I need to feed his kids too... Please make more games like this...
