Description

This game takes you straight back to the golden age of microcomputers. Inspired from a game from the late 70s made by Gremlin, using the colors from a C64 palette and adding a modern touch. This might bring back memories for some.

Just like the retro 70s or 80s game, the goal is simple. Kill as many submarines as possible before you get killed. Your only weapons are barrel-shaped depth charges fired from your destroyer.

The subs in return fire torpedos and tries to bomb you with mines. You have unlimited ammo, but only 4 depth charges can be in the water at the same time. So until a depth charge leaves the screen or hit a sub, they will not be regenerated.

In the game, a sonar ping is played every time there spawns a new submarine. In normal mode, you will also hear a torpedo warning every time a submarine with torpedos spawn. And remember, the subs aim for your ship. A classic sub hunt from the golden age of retro gaming.

Can only be closed by turning off your phone
Game is fine. Simple first generation (1980s) style game. Half the time the app doesn’t respond to basic iPhone gestures like closing an app by swiping up. So you end up having to power down your phone just to exit this app.
Should be fixed.
