Detectives United・Deadly Debt Hack 1.0.2 + Redeem Codes

Was looking forward new game from Elephant Games, but got stuck at the desk code glitch, reinstalled to no avail. I am hoping developers can push update as I would like to finish the game.

I’ve enjoyed the games in this title although they can be a bit short and murky from time to time. This one seems to have been quite rushed and I wonder if I accidentally wandered into a beta test. There are some missing elements that make the story difficult to follow like voice-overs for the TV news, any explanation of the murders, and two of the mini games have instructions reversed. Some of the dialogue and the mouth movements don’t exactly match up which isn’t a really big deal but it’s kind of hard to watch. I think a little more time spent on details would’ve been welcome to players who enjoy the series. UPDATE: contacted EG and was asked to specify my concerns, which I did. No word since. The app support link is broken as well. This isn’t the usual response from EG and they rarely put out a game so badly flawed. Wondering if there’s trouble in the company. 2nd update: was really hoping that given some time EG would fix this game. But no. Nothing. And that’s a real shame. Up to now, this was a fun title. But the glaring inconsistencies, lack of clarity and just plain lazy execution undermines EG’s history of well crafted, fun games worth the money. Those of us who have purchased EG games and left good reviews deserve an explanation and a promise to do better. Maybe you’re tired of money?

As usual, was too short. But unusually it was a muddled mess. Cut scenes missing or suddenly popping up in the wrong place, whole narrative points missing, annoying hand-holding clues to every action. Ultimately just a random string of locations and repetitive activities. No story, no nothing. After finishing, I still have no idea what happened to the main villain, what the plot of the story was, or anything else. For all those who can’t get past the stencil puzzle, don’t bother. There’s nothing much past the stencil puzzle anyway.

Thanks to Lynx Minx’s help with the stencil puzzle, I had no problem with the game. Found the game play entertaining, holding my interest throughout. Indefinitely got my money’s worth on this one. Thank you.

Attention all players! There is nothing wrong with the game, as far as a fatal error, in my experience. Here are the instructions for the stencil puzzle. I’m calling this tutorial Stencils for Dummies, since I sent two extremely nasty and threatening emails to Elephant when there was no actual problem. Or if there was I did not experience it. 1. Place your number sheet, or template, or picture or whatever you decide to call it on the desk. 2. Place the stencil over it. Once you do this you do not need to touch the stencil again. Numbers appear in the holes of the stencil. You do NOT need to highlight or touch these numbers. That is why you cannot move the stencil again. It is not meant to be moved or touched again! It is meant to remain in place. 3. The numbers showing through the holes are 4825. You simply enter this code on the desk drawer, and voila, it opens and there is NO ISSUE! I am enjoying this game and at least it has novel inventory usage and some entertaining puzzles. However the storyline is somewhat confusing and convoluted. Basically at heart it’s about an evil woman forcing others to kill for her to maintain her life force. This plot is banal, trite and stale! Some of the puzzles had the incorrect instructions. I don’t usually read them so it’s unbelievable that I even noticed this lack of quality assurance. There is no excuse for incorrect instructions. My rating will remain at 4 stars. I deducted a star for a slight lack of touchscreen sensitivity on the gameplay interface, and for transposing incorrect instructions for two puzzles. In addition, I still do not understand how I completed the stencil puzzle yet others could not. Unless Elephant fixed it before I played and there was no evidence of any type of update. Too many people had problems for it to have been a coincidence! It’s unfortunate because the game did have a lot of interesting elements and was a decent length for a change. Happy gaming, everyone!

I’m stuck at the code on the desk. I can’t move forward. It seems others have also had this problem. I’ll be requesting a refund.

Update: Tried to follow lynx minx’ instructions and tried to do the same before even getting the tip. The game will not allow me to change/enter the desk code.

Fix the glitch or give me my money back!

UPDATE2: There is definitely a problem when the numbers on the drawer cannot be entered. I was fully aware of what needed to be done, however the game locked at that point as the numbers could not be accessed. Glad it worked for some, but not all of us were as fortunate. It could be an issue with the latest iOS release.

UPDATE: after no help from Elephant support I have requested and received a refund. I would advise not purchasing this game until this fatal error is corrected. I am at the location in chapter 2 where a code is to be entered on the desk. Although I have acquired the code I am unable to enter it, therefore I can’t continue the game. Please fix or I will need to ask for a refund.

Cannot enter code on desk after placing stencil. Same exact problem as another reviewer had. UPDATE: received a refund
