Dialup: Reviving the Phone Hack 2.4.1 + Redeem Codes

I just had my first call and it was great! I’m in Georgia and the person I talked to lives in Italy. It was soooo cool because I’m alone and I was pretty sad because a relationship abruptly ended for no apparent reason so it was so wonderful and uplifting to get out of my mental funk and talk to someone. I felt so disconnected from the world but that call made my day and got me into the swing of my life. We talked for about 45 min regarding everything underneath the sun except the topic we both choose to connect on. I took off a star because the topics you must choose from to connect with others aren’t that great. I wish there were way more topics such as topics related to work, relationships, home schooling, single parenthood, entertainment, spirituality and religion (with specific sects of course) etc. I mean, if you gonna have topic such as professional Tarot card readers, Bob Ross Painting, the 2020 Election and woodworking, surely you can have more generalized topics as I’ve suggested. Nonetheless, I like it so far so good.

This app's possibilities are endless: both good and bad, most people you bet are awesome but there are some nightmares just like irl. The worst thing is that there's no improvement as they have openly abandoned the app. I can no longer rate conversations (such as reporting a bad caller!!) this puts people in uncomfortable situations where they will feel less safe/able to use this app. Also about 50% of calls drop! Agh! Picking up is also a problem. If this were a phone service/app it'd be 0 but because it's free it's holding up on its last leg.

Also as repeatedly mentioned, it's missing a ton of features! If you guys ever update or add features, even every year it would be a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️app.

I LOVE this app. It’s magical. I first discovered it (as many of us did) during Covid in mid-2020. I was jobless, had plenty of time, and wanted to connect with other people. This app was a lifesaver. I chatted with so many lovely people from all over the world and realized that I wasn’t as alone as I felt. I can’t think of a single bad conversation, and I loved the rush of excitement every time I received a call. Every few months I’ll re-download it (my phone likes to un-download it sporadically) and experience the magic again!

The app can be a bit buggy, and there’s nothing worse than getting disconnected from someone that you were having a good convo with, BUT it’s gotten a lot better from how it was in 2020. I hope this app lasts forever!

I just had my first call using this app and ended up speaking with the caller for 3 hours! We both did the breakfast prompt. That lasted about 30 seconds and then we just talked about the current state of the world and what we think of it and what we think or hope happens next. Apart from that, we talked about movies, art, pets, places we’ve lived. I’ve been incredibly anxious lately as someone self-isolating alone, and this turned my day around. I look forward to more calls!!

To the devs, I do have a request
- a chat or follow up option if you’d like to stay in touch w past callers
- I think this is especially useful when calls get dropped.

I cannot say enough good things about this app. I have now talked to 7 people and each conversation was a delight in its own particular way. The people on Quarantine are generally very willing to be open and honest. It is really affirming to me of how deeply in need of connection we are, especially now. These conversations flow easily and although I sometimes get nervous beforehand, I relax quickly when I see yet again that the person at the end of the line is the same as me: a little isolated in these isolating times and simply in need of some kind contact. Thank you for this app.

This app is really revolutionary. There’s a small group of people working on it right now so it’s not as big as it could get, and the topics will soon grow. The ones that are on there don’t necessarily mean you have to talk about the chosen topic. I know for me, I had a wonderful conversation with someone who lives in England and they were quite lovely to chat with. There’s soon to be a “reconnect” feature on the app which should make lost calls possible to reconnect after. We were on the “travel” section but ended up talking about our lives in general.

A beautiful, poetic idea to connect souls around the world. I love the potential of the app. The prompts are fantastic, and the app design is lovely. Unfortunately, no one I’ve matched with so far has wanted to discuss the prompts. 4/4 of my calls have been men (with wives) talking about how they’re lonely and eventually making sexually suggestive comments to the “beautiful young woman” on the line. Bold of them to assume I was interested, in addition to assuming my appearance, gender, and age. I gave the first few guys the benefit of the doubt, now I just hang up when this happens. I didn’t sign up for a hotline bling sex line. I’m disappointed by the people using this wholesome app for objectifying or self-gratifying purposes. I just wanted to talk to someone about bread recipes and what’s outside my window 😫

My first experience a few weeks ago was great. We talked almost two hours, and I was wishing I had discovered this app at the beginning of the pandemic. Then today got someone who said she’s been using the app for about a year and some 50% of calls are dropped, and then we were disconnected after only four minutes. Very frustrating when you are enjoying a chat. Then I just got another call right after that one (the quarantine chat), and immediately it hung up (and labeled that I had hung up, which I hadn’t). This app would be great if it were reliable, but it’s frustrating to the point of being unusable when you keep getting disconnected.

Really enjoy talking to people through Quarantine Chat, but the app usually disconnects in the middle of the call and it’s impossible to reconnect no matter how many times I try the “reconnect” button, restart the app, restart my phone. I’ve had a few people I’ve chatted with google me and find me anyway to keep in touch, but mostly we’ve just been disconnected in the middle and it makes me feel like I’ve been rude to the other person on the line. Not a great feeling :/ I think they need to redesign the calling part of the app.

The call keeps disconnecting even when my internet is working fine. Then I can’t even talk to anyone else because the other person thinks I probably cut their call on purpose
I have been so excited to talk to someone but then ended up being disappointed when the call doesn’t even connect and then it says it’s my fault and that I didn’t talk to anyone
Once I received a call and I could just hear the person breathing and not saying anything and then he/she disconnected herself and then I didn’t get to talk to anyone. Even tho they should have transferred me to another call
Please fix this issue, so we can talk easily without the call disconnecting.
