Dictionary Universal is iPhone, iPod touch and iPad application for viewing StarDict dictionaries and dictionaries in Lingvo DSL format ¹. Many of these dictionaries are available on the Internet for free ².

Add options to disable system dark mode
Very useful app. Hope the author can add an option to let user enable or disable dark mode. The dark mode will cause low contrast with text highlighting for some dictionaries.

I have nothing but praise for this app. I have used it now for a number of years. It is fast, stable and reliable. Now with ios13 support and dark mode its better.
My only complaint is still no split screen support. When doing language study, the lack of ability to dock the program next to reading material is frustrating.
Even so, this is worth every penny and kudo’s to the great developer.

Good dictionary app with some room for improvement.
Thank you for the ongoing support of this dictionary app.
It would really be helpful if you could add the following features:
1. Option to display all definitions results from all relevant installed dictionary in one list (instead of showing dictionary results in different pages with the need to swipe between dictionaries).
2. Split screen multitasking support, to use the dictionary alongside other apps.
3. Option to easily share definition results with other people with a share button.
Wish you can make this happen.

It's a wonderful dictionary with a smart search which really works :)

This is great dictionary for Stardict data. Worth to buy.

Works blazingly fast!
I finally got an iPhone and needed a dictionary app which could work with StarDict dictionaries.
After googling for quite a while my choice narrowed to two apps, Dictionary Universal and WeDict.
They cost the same, but some WeDict reviewers said that it was not so fast (plus some ppl were saying that
by default its database contains chinese dictionaries which you cannot delete/exclude from search, and I don't need them).
Anyways,I went with this one, and, man, it's fast! I love it! Settings are flexible enough and give you most of you could ask. So, I highly recommend it! Короче, крутой апп!

The app is amazing. This is my favorite dictionary app and it is truly one of the best out there. I swear by it!

- add a built-in guide to explain available gestures
- please add an option to create a profile based on the input folder with dictionaries. So I can upload a folder "en-ru" that has all of those dictionaries and have an option to easily make that a profile. It is a real pain to scroll through a ton of dictionaries to select the ones I want for that profile...
