I wish I knew about this app sooner!
I didn’t think I would be into this, but I’m very glad I tried it! The app is very inclusive and has a good amount of scenarios and relationship types. You have a story broken down into episodes. Episodes range from 3-10 per story and lasting 8-14 minutes each. Doesn’t seem like a long time (but it is), and some episodes are “porn intro” cringe worthy, but the quality of the recordings, the talent and believability of the voice actors more than make up for it. The voice actors on this app is PHENOMENAL!! If you’re familiar with Realm (previously Serial Box), an audio book company that focuses on production value in their audiobook recordings, Dipsea matches if not surpasses Realm in its quality and attention to detail. As with anything, there can be improvements, but the backbone of Dipsea is solid, and they have nowhere else to go but up.
So, for the possible improvements. I would love an erotic audiobook. A place where the characters are flushed out, relationships are fully explored, and the intro last more than a few minutes. I’ve only been on this app for a week, so I’m not sure how long the current format will hold my interest, but I can already tell that I want a more flushed out story. I have a feeling this may already be in the horizon, but voicing my opinion just in case!

Great so far, with room to grow
I’m still in my trial period, but I’m really enjoying this service so far. Audio erotica is apparently something I didn’t know I needed, and I’m ever so glad I heard an ad on a podcast for Dipsea. Some others have commented about the cost, but I’m actually glad they have a subscription fee; it means there’s a budget for good quality writers and actors. Dipsea has obviously taken this seriously and I’m impressed with what they’re doing. I especially like that the content is continually growing, and that the stories and actors are so diverse. The content can sometimes be a little too heavy on the female-adoration, I-worship-you themes, but I suppose that’s to be expected with this kind of service.
So far, I only have a couple of things I would like to see improve.
I understand that the content is aimed at women, but I would really like to have more stories narrated primarily by the male voices. I love the slightly softer, female-centric storylines, but I think those same kinds of stories would work from the male as well, sort of like the him+you Pillowtalks work now.
On that note, I love the Pillowtalks, so expansion here would really be appreciated.
Also: any chance we’ll hear more from Ronan? ;)

I absolutely love this app for so many reasons. I had the free version for a long time and finally splurged on the full one. Omg it’s so so worth it. I literally use it everyday even if just for sleep. I listened to some of the meditations in the bath and they were amazing. I love the short books to read as well if I don’t feel like listening. I have two suggestions that I’m sure are already in progress, but I thought I’d share anyway. One, I find it a bit unrealistic that in the her+him scenarios when it’s penetrative sex, the man always orgasms and if the woman does, it’s always through penetration. It would be nice if after he orgasmed he went down on her or something. I haven’t listened to everything yet, so maybe that’s out there, but I haven’t noticed it yet. The other thing is that I would loveee to have all of this access in another language. Of course it’s not an easy process, but listening to a sexy story in Spanish or French would make me so happy. I want to say thanks to all the writers and voice actors and everyone who makes this app happen! I never really enjoyed porn until this app and it’s so so wonderful.

I see a lot of the main (unreasonable) complaints are because the app costs $50 for the year.
This is a relatively new app creating original content. Great stories, great production. Stuff like that costs money. You pay the voice actors and the equipment and the writers and it's ridiculous to believe that people's especially women's hard work be free. I have been on this app since February and it's get better every day (probably because people like me felt $50 wasn't to much for quality) I use the app regularly and I'm never sorry for paying. There is a lot garbage out there you can get for free and welcome to but if you have any respect for people's work and understand good things cost money Dipsea is work quite frankly a very measly price if you can afford it which I'm sure most you can. Like any service (restaurant, hair, nails) you get you have to pay and sometimes tip and if it's not in the cards right now maybe it's not for you.
This a wonderful app and deserves all the support it can get. I'm not going anywhere.

Not as inclusive as is being marketed
So I’m non-binary, and I downloaded the app because I was intrigued by the mention of genderqueer storylines. However, I was disappointed that the first-person audios (or at least the ones I’ve found) all operate under the assumption that the listener is a woman, which I understand since that is the demographic that is being targeted. But I found myself getting quickly taken out of the experience because I was being referred to with language that made me feel dysphoric. I just wish there were at least a couple of audios that were made specifically with non-binary folks in mind (i.e., addressing the listener with gender neutral language, refraining from mentioning certain body parts, etc.). Also, it kind of rubbed me the wrong way that the only non-binary voices on the app were AFAB and I didn’t see a single story that depicted a non-binary person and a man together. It’s feeding into a common misconception that all non-binary people are AFAB and only attracted to women. It seems like you’re marketing your enby voice actors as just a different flavor of lesbian, which feels disrespectful. I get it if you want an app that’s only for women, but please make that more clear in how you market.

Worth. Every. Penny.
I found Dipsea like most of us while perusing Instagram/Facebook and my curiosity finally got the better of me. The sample audio was enough to get me to the 1-week trial and I signed up for the month to month (because commitment issues) before the week was even over. The variety of scenarios and inclusivity of the characters are all super refreshing (with new suggestions regularly added) plus you can tailor the experience to fit with your erotic preferences (which you can also change/update super easily). My only suggestion would be to have the “Favorites” tab a bit higher up/more visible as it can take a bit of scrolling to find at times however, this is also how I’ve found some fun detours along the way (looking at you “Hunter”….😜).
Y’all have definitely created something special here, cannot recommend this app enough 🙌🏽.

Worth the investment
I found a link to this app via Instagram and spent about a week reading comments and the responses posted between Dipsea and their community. On the same day I decided to download it to take a peek, the postings were about the limited free access until April 30th in response to COVID-19 Shelter/Stay At Home protocols and it instantly made me feel better about this app and what it offers.
I like the options to pay monthly as desired and the economical once a year for some truly amazing and satisfying content. There’s been some real thought and science put into these offerings and I’m a fan on every level.
Being a strong, single woman who is very comfortable and in touch with my sexuality, I’m filled with joy at an app that matches my style. In today’s awkward and exhausting dating pool, this also helps me focus on what is meaningful to me and gives fresh ideas and comfort.

Worth it.
I have never written a review about an app, but Dipsea has my full approval. As someone on antidepressants and finding that a lot of visual erotica is male dominant and less on female pleasure, Dipsea has helped me reconnect with myself. Sure it’s easy to reach for a toy and be done in 2 minutes, but that’s not nearly as enjoyable as making it a journey. In fact this app has made it possible for me to achieve completion without a toy because the auditory visuals are so well done—there’s room for imagination still but a lot of wonderful guidance.
Also for the folks complaining about $47? Watching an ad before or after would take you out of the mood. Think of all the work that goes into these productions; $47/year is nothing. That’s a four hour shift as a cashier these days. So many annual apps are well over $120. Art costs money and this is well worth it.

Exciting, Informative… Revelatory?
Dipsea is exactly what I’ve been looking for without even realizing it! I’m a dude, and my exposure to erotic media has been primarily mainstream porn. With how unrealistic and emotionally flat that can be, it got to where I just didn’t have any satisfying assistance for solo sexual experiences. Dipsea’s stories are so, so much better! The characters in them feel like real people. They want to be with each other, satisfy each other, and I love how affirmative consent is a smooth and sexy part of each story. And then I found the wellness section! All the instructive and informative and arousing ways to experience new things and learn about myself. Or just relax! Also, the stories helped me realize I’m queer? An unexpected revelation for someone in their 30s! Thank you, Dipsea team—what a gift you’ve provided!

Love the app and stories
The app is aesthetically pleasing to the eye. It’s also cheap considering all that it has. My favorite section is the sleep section. Call me weird but it’s so calming to listen to someone with a soothing deep voice. I also like the fact that it touches on more than one thing for people to do when using the app. It has audio for you to understand BDSM find your link and explore you and your partners sexual desires. I especially like that it has a section where you can read stories also but I wish that you could read along with the audio if you wanted. A change or adjustment that’s needed is that it isn’t well supported dimensionally by iPad or tablets because it doesn’t fit three entire screen versus how it fits to a phone screen. Other than that I don’t really have any thing bad to say about the app.
