Description

The Discovery Schools Academy Trust app is designed to provided information that education, empowers and supports the Trust's schools parents, pupils and staff.

The application provides the trust with the opportunity to promote a range of activities publicly as well as a log in facility to provide access to specific advice and functions such as the Confidence Test, Digital Certification and h2bsafer (how to be safer) updates.

Its build is constructed to created an on-going relationship with individuals from each audience group, sharing specific information, engaging the user in activities and testing their ability to apply what they have learnt.

The App has been re-built from the ground up utilising innovative functionality that enables users old and new to self-register, create, change and recover passwords. It provides access to more role specific contemporary safeguarding information than ever before! Parents/carers, staff and teachers as well as pupils themselves will now have up to date advice, written specifically for them on critical safeguarding issues like bullying, general internet safety and much more.

Schools can now utilise push notifications to engage with their community. Whether it's information about an exceptional closure, encouraging members to attend the school fete, alerts about seasonal risks, or advise on how to keep children safer in the digital world; it’s all at their fingertips, on the app in their pocket.

Other new features include enhanced quizzes, testing and audit capabilities as well as videos, illustrations and audio content to make the information easy to access and simple to understand.
