Description

Dive Log Book, developed by DNA BLU, allows you to import and display dive profile data from SmartTRAK and DataTRAK files from your PC, transferring them to your iPhone. This application allows divers to transfer and carry dive data from all dives recorded using SCUBAPRO UWATEC dive computers (Aladin, Smart and Galileo series). It also lets you manually insert dives on your iPhone.

A photo library is also accessible, including various fish, corals and nudibranch images, resulting in an ideal educational tool for all levels of divers. This application also makes specific dive weather conditions easily accessible, including temperatures, winds, wave heights & lengths for the entire globe. This data is courtesy of NOAA, usno.navy.mil and the “Lamma Consortium of the Regione Toscana”.

will-do,
Waste your time
Multiple times to input data, inaccurate location, very minimal setting adjustments, even after changing settings they still showed up the same as original set. Apparently no updates in four years at this point and no privacy information. STAY AWAY!
Certified diver,
Poor port of the uwatek software
Yes I understand this is a free app. I am very surprised scubapro approved this app. Can not change from metric to imperial even though the dives imported were in imperial. What are the plans for updates? If this turns into a paid app and improves functionality, would purchase just to have the ability to import from my smart Tek computer. Don't expect much if you are installing this app.
FLtweetybird,
Prepare to be frustrated
Will log dives, but it takes about 10min to get the right info saved per dive. Constantly resets the information you just entered.
ozzie cadenza,
A good start
I wanted to have my dive logs from Smart computer on my phone for convenience so I don't need to lug a laptop around. One slight problem in loading logs from laptop was that I duplicated my log book and had to delete the duplicates. I have not found a way to change from meters to feet (personal preference) but other than that I now have my log book on my iphone, thank you very much.

I plan to use the location and mapping feature in future as this is pretty neat.

Documentation is a bit weak and I hope the developers will make improvements.
Kadin,
Disappointed
I’ve used DNABLU since I was certified in 2011. It was buggy, but I got used to it and it worked for me. I reset my phone awhile ago and the app didn’t reinstall. I installed the app today and all of my data is gone. I have a backup in dropbox and my email from 2013 (it’s been a slow couple years), but I can’t find a way to import the file types (html, xml) into the app.
There’s no way to contact tech support on the app website. So, I’ve lost 5 years of diving logs.
scubaguyron,
What app?
Honestly, can you even call this an app? I too cant believe scubapro put their name on this. The instructions to transfer your logbook to the iphone are the worst instructions i think i've ever seen. This app??? Is totally unintutive and very poorly constructed. I never did get my dives to import after trying for over 2 hours. I would have given this 0 stars but itunes doesnt allow.
JFinz49,
What the heck for Uwatec
Poorly done. Not intuitive. It's all in metrics and bars -- no ability to convert to imperial. Doesn't import your log properly either. Major work to be done on this app before it's worth your time. Meanwhile, I'll stick to my laptop.
Rockypilot007,
Not worth it
I'm just looking for a simple diving log book. This thing looks like it has a lot of cool features. But it is so complicated I couldn't figure it out. I wasn't even able to put in a single dive.
Mike D. Yo,
Why So Low
The app is free. How can you complain on something that is free. It does exactly what I like and expect it do for being a FREE app.
Pilfer12345,
Buggy and confusing
Can't put all the data that I want in. Must press "save" or all info is deleted
