Analysing and understanding a golf handicap in the world handicap system can be difficult. This app makes it easy to know the worst case for your handicap index when dropping one of your best 8. Also it will tell you your target score to be better than that worst case by just one tenth! Even better what you need to score to reduce your handicap (even by one tenth).

How about knowing the anticap... the average of your worst 12 scores in your last 20. A consistent player will have an anticap closer to their handicap than an inconsistent player.

How about a handicap index calculated with scores from each month or season? It is good to know the months where you outperform your handicap. With less scores in your playing history you may find it more useful to look at the seasons. It is all here with much more.

Originally the app provided tools for calculating handicaps and that is all still here. Whatever the format, group or team size the handicaps are calculated correctly.

Use the first screen to (DivotPro Easy Calculator) calculate a handicap by just entering the relevant information. By setting up Venues the option to calculate handicaps for players using any combination of tees and playing any recognised scoring format opens up. You can either reuse the general players created by default or setup friends within the players list. Friends handicaps are likely to change from one day to the next but as DivotPro remembers their handicap only slight adjustments will be required each time you play.

WHS is slightly different in different countries. By choosing the correct governing body the correct rules will be applied.

In this version you can easily import your playing record (or even any missing part of your playing record) into DivotPro and explore the playing record analysis and charts for your handicap record.

If you already have a complete playing record you can see your handicap for the tees you play the most. You might be surprised to find out what tees you actually score better from for handicap.

Playing History has been updated. The most obvious change is the navigation has changed from a second tab bar to a menu button at the top right of the playing record page. This in part is due to the big news that we now have charts available from the playing history status analysis screen Tapping on different areas of the status analysis will show a relevant chart (more charts to be added in a future release).

The same charts are available for playing history analysis of a what-if scenario. Hence you can see on a chart the impact of up to 5 new scores of your choice.

Also for anyone put off by the effort required to enter a long playing history there is now an ‘Add Quick Record’ option. This only requires a date and the differential for each score and is very quick to use. You can mix and match quick records with full details records. Quickly get up to date and then you can switch for the new scores to entering full details. Easy.

Handicap committee adjustments can now be recorded as required (usually on the latest record).

Additional statistics added to the handicap index analysis to give insight into the non counting scores to help identify otherwise hidden improvement. Deletion (and reloading) of venues temporarily suspended to avoid a tee associated with a playing history record being deleted.

A bug that caused a crash for some new users has be corrected.

A new simpler display of playing history is now the default to provide a less busy initial view.

Some golfers are now beginning to see their handicaps going up and are seeing the anchor and cap (soft and hard) come into play. The score tracking and handicap predictions function now handles this complication.

As soon as you get away from playing simple medal or Stableford, all from the same tee, WHS gets complicated. The original DivotPro functionality is still there providing handicaps for up to 4 players for any recognised format and using any combination of tees. So much simpler than getting the handicap manual out!

You can now record your playing history in the app and then use the analysis to understand better how your handicap may move up or down after your next round. The demo mode allows you to look at how this feature works with a large or small amount of rounds played. You can even enter real scores in demo mode. They just won't be saved.

The data storage has changed in this version and you will need to set up players and venues again. We apologise for the inconvenience.
