Kareem Thomson often referred to as DJ Kayotik is a household name and fan favorite across the United States. In 2011, Kayotik quickly rose to fame as the entertainment industry's premiere DJ. As a public figure, philanthropic servant and dedicated father, he often witnessed undeserved communities which led to the launch of Kareem’s Alternative Youth Options To Improve Kids; a non- profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for youth by focusing on the issues of literacy and self-esteem.
A veteran on-air personality and DJ for Dallas' number one Rhythmic station, he was crowned the "Modern Day King" of the industry by Urban Daddy Radio. With nearly two decades as a subject matter expert in his field, he captured the attention of an Executive Producer for the CW who quickly realized that Kayotik's personality resonated with a larger audience. This led to a one-of-a-kind morning show launch in the Spring of 2019 that took the city of Dallas by storm. Within a year, Kayotik had three franchised segments on mainstream television one of which lead to a 5-week special partnership with nationally syndicated talk show host Mel Robbins. Kayotik’s spiritual grounding, innate ability to motivate the masses and infectious smile was undeniable and resonated with the masses. His connectability and vast array of skills garnered from his time in the U.S. Navy, television and Radio had proven to be a winning mix that has moved the entertainment industry forward. This unlikely mix garnered him a Texas Emmy nomination in the fall of 2020.
A celebrity is his own right, partnerships and working relationships with Curtis (50 cent) Jackson, Chris Brown, Floyd Mayweather and Drake has boosted his platform to the next level pushing brands created by African Americans to the masses.
In 2020, Kayotik has decided to pen his first biography titled “It had to happen”, which is a depiction of his life spanning from NY to Texas. He will also be taking the stage across the U.S. conducting break-out sessions focusing on topics ranging from grief, entertainment and strategic business-ships.
