Automatic Substitute Pedigree Trees
If you used the Substitute Pedigree Trees in the last 2.1 release the changes in this release are the following:
1) You don't include the Person ID number in the name of the tree - and as a result you must remove any Person ID numbers in existing substitute trees for them to continue to work.
2) Substitute Pedigree Trees can be generated automatically. Just tap the Build button on the DNA Match Details page to duplicate all the people in the pedigree tree for that match into a new tree called "D2TSub User Name" - where "User Name" is the name of the DNA Match as shown in the DNA Match List.
Note: This feature is a little flakey and does not always work. If you get an error try again. But check to make sure there weren't multiple trees created.
If you haven't used the feature before read all of the following instructions:
Substitute Pedigree Trees allow you to designate a substitute pedigree tree of your manual or automatic construction for the pedigree tree of a DNA Match. You might want to do this because the pedigree tree of a DNA Match is locked, empty, incomplete, or incorrect. Once set up, DNA2Tree will always process the substitute pedigree tree for that DNA Match instead of the original.
Steps:
1a) Tap the Build button on the DNA Match Details page which will duplicate all the people in the pedigree tree for that match into a new tree called "D2TSub User Name"
or
1b)) Manually create a new pedigree tree in the account you will be processing the DNA Matches and name the tree using this template: "D2TSub User Name"
a) "D2TSub" is just those 6 letters
b) "User Name" is the name of the DNA Match as shown in the DNA Match List
Don't use quotes in the name of the tree. A tree name should look similar to this:
D2TSub John Doe
When the John Doe DNA Match is loaded by DNA2Tree the substitute pedigree will be used instead.
Note: This feature is a little flakey and does not always work. If you get an error try again. But check to make sure there weren't multiple trees created.

Substitute Pedigree Trees
This allows you to designate a substitute pedigree tree of your construction for the pedigree tree of a DNA Match. You might want to do this because the pedigree tree of a DNA Match is locked, empty, incomplete, or incorrect. Once set up, DNA2Tree will always process the substitute pedigree tree for that DNA Match instead of the original.
Steps:
Create a new pedigree tree in the account you will be processing the DNA Matches and name the tree using this template: "D2TSub User Name 123456789012"
a) "D2TSub" is just those 6 letters
b) "User Name" is the name of the DNA Match as shown in the DNA Match List
c) "123456789012" is the12 digit Person ID number of the root person of the replacement pedigree tree. To obtain the Person ID open the profile of the root person in Ancestry and click on the browser URL bar. You will see something like this:
https://www.ancestry.com/family-tree/person/tree/161991421/person/292113585464/facts
Use the 12 digit number after "person/" in the URL.
Don't use quotes in the name of the tree. A tree name should look similar to this:
D2TSub John Doe 292113585464
When that DNA Match is loaded by DNA2Tree the substitute pedigree will be used instead.
