Why 5 stars?
First off the dev team is awesome. They care about their work and players and are communicative as well as more than willing to incorporate user feedback. This game is simply one of the best auto runners on the AppStore. The theme alone is fantastic. There's so many upgrades and cosmetic items you can get for your character. There are actual levels in a story mode but also endless modes that vary in the degree of difficulty. There is sooo much replayability with this game. The controls are actually spot on and I've not had any issues at all. This game really does deserve 5 stars. Oh and if you want to get extra xp to get some upgrades or a light saber color you can watch some opt in ads. Nothing forced. Well that's it. Thank you devs for continuing to support this game and for such a fun time.

The controls are perfect, the mechanics are very well implemented, the player's inertia and movement in the world is done so incredibly great - it just FEELS fantastic while playing.
The upgrades can be a bit costly, and all of my progress was wiped out with this update (even with it saved in the cloud) but I don't mind one bit, as this is a game that has tons of staying power, so chances are, I might just be purchasing new upgrades months from now.

Fun but broken controls
Game looks and feels great and I'm sure it would be a lot of fun but the jump button doesn't always work on my iPhone 6s+ and I can't get past the first level of the second world because of it. If the controls were fixed where it's more playable, I would rate much higher.

Always Run With A Plasma Sword
This game, after searching long and hard, is the perfect iPad platformer. The game has challenge, easy controls, and a story line, don't forget an endless mode. In my search for a perfect platformers I downloaded many-a-platformer(some of which I wish I could get refunds on), but this game is by far the best platformer.
My only criticism is the expense of certain items. I definitely want that silver light saber( plasma sword) but there is no conceivable way of obtaining it without grinding for days. I am going to end up spending the extra buck or two, but still I would like it a little bit less.
In conclusion, it is definitely worth the .99 cents you are going to pay for this app. The sound track as far as I can tell is repetitive but don't fret, it's a sweet track. I also enjoy the light saber sound effect the plasma sword makes when you swing it, it has a very Star Wars-y feel to it.

The Real Present,
Better than it first appears
I would have rated is 3 stars the first few times I played it. The Ctio is fine, but there really isn't much to make it really shine.
However, once you start to really get your first few upgrades and make it further into the game, the really interesting stuff really kicks into gear. Learning to attack while sliding, dash, ground attack and double jump are not only fun but become essential tools late on when facing certain enemies or navigational challenges.
Stick with this one, and it will pay off handsomely.

Not just endless running
I don't generally like running games, but have become totally addicted to this because of the real sense of progression. The story mode gives you levels to complete, the endless modes have objectives, and the upgrades give you something to work for as well. The xp for the upgrades does ramp up pretty steeply (my only minor complaint) and I ended up breaking down and buying some via IAP, but I kind of also felt good about supporting the devs, given how much I've been playing this and that I got it for free.

Very amateur-ish, but very addictive
I was worried at first when I saw the graphics, and sure enough, this game looks and feels cheesy, like an online flash game. For example, enemy lasers are a static horizontal image, even if they fly at you from an angle. I wanted to get my dollar's worth, so I gave the game a chance, and found it to be incredibly fun. The controls give you a lot of versatility, I think that's part of it. Definitely recommended, but the developer should learn a few more art/programming tricks before starting on the sequel.
