Description

School leaders, teachers, and researchers agree that math is a building block for school and life. Rich early math opportunities are important to provide in classrooms. However, many school leaders feel like they lack the tools help coach teachers in early math.

The DREME Math Observer is a classroom walkthrough tool for early math leaders to help fill this need in the field. It is currently being developed and tested in conjunction with researchers and practitioners to explore how it can support the important work of improving the quality of early math teaching and learning in classrooms.

Use the tool to:
-Observe math practices that are aligned with your improvement goals
-Summarize the main practices observed
-Take photos of interesting moments or student work
-Use app guiding questions to structure feedback session with teachers
-Track trends and set goals
-Export your data

To accommodate different preferences, you can now flexibly set one or more domains that you want to observe. This version also includes a configuration tool that allows developers to make certain changes more quickly.

This version adds a counter to the buttons on the engagement screen to make it easier for users to know how many ratings they have completed for each activity phase. The release also fixes a few UI issues.

This version of DREME includes several UX updates, adds some additional training videos, and fixes for an issue with observation records intermittently not showing in the teacher view. Data storage for the app has been changed in preparation for adding additional data view features to the app. This is a breaking change that will mean that observation records from before this release will not be accessible until a migration tool is introduced in the next release.
