I like it! Road trip version?
I like this app! I’m always for learning new things and random facts! I have one question, does this keep going and going if let’s say a person were to drive for 7 hours in the car? If not I think it would be great if it could give us questions from previous days, just keep getting questions from days that we missed or in the past because I can see how this can be used as a good road trip game! 😄
Also, could you make an offline version? I’ve played this a few times now and it’s lost connection once I leave my WiFi area. And I can’t exactly stop driving and reconnect, and I don’t like to check my phone while driving either. Thank you! :)

Fun for Long Drives But Buggy
I downloaded this app because I tend to get bored on my hour commutes and I already like listening to trivia. I love the games and the snippets but don’t play to use this app if your drive will take you anywhere rural or where your service will go to anything below 4 bars. You could be screaming directly into the microphone and the app won’t pick it up. It’s very sensitive to this and will go out on a big highway in the middle of the city too. The creators seem to know this though because it says “you may have lost signal” and repeats the question instead of marking you wrong but it’s still frustrating. The app also doesn’t work as harmoniously with Apple CarPlay as you would hope. The creators must also know this because they have a prompt for that too. The content is currently a little bit on the slim side for its monthly price tag but it does look like they’re actively working to add more.
Unexpected plus side - I would say this app would be great for people that are blind/cannot use apps and games that rely on visual cues only. It seems like it’s very accessible with its voice prompts.

This is app is a lot of fun, and the only one of its kind, I’ve looked.
That being said; it costs WAY too much money ($9.99 a month) for a trivia game. There is a free version but you get 1 episode a day (24 minutes long) so you have to chose drive to work or drive home, and my commute is almost an hour, so I did the free trial for 7 days, you can play as many episodes as you want and it was great, but when my trial ended I couldn’t justify $10 a month for a game. Maybe $10 for a lifetime, but a subscription it’s over the top. I also notice that when my trial ended, the game started acting up. It’s never on the right day so sometimes I’ll use my free episode and then it will get stuck for three days and it will say I’ve already played, so I can’t play for three days. I tried to clear the cache, sign out, and redownload the app to no avail. I think this concept was great if they would fix the issues and pricing.

... with their exaggerated forced laughter about things that are really not that funny. The trivia is pretty good but I’ve been very annoyed lately due to two things:
1) in 5 different places on the app they try and get you to permit them access to your contacts so that you can “play against your friends”. This is a lie and you cannot play head to head against your friends so they need to stop saying that repeatedly when it’s misleading. That ticks me off and is SHADY AF!
2) Their new premium TUNE TIME is absurd when you can play much better song quizzes with Alexa FOR FREE… They say name the song & artist and the artist is some random generic Studio hack musician singing and not the original. It should be illegal for you to say “The song is ‘The edge of 17’ by Stevie Nicks” when it’s not Stevie Nicks… You guys are misleading AGAIN.
Can you say “cancel my subscription”!? I can!

They seem to have whittled the cast down to three hosts, who rotate in, two at a time every day. Liam, Melissa, and Olivia, over time have achieved just the right balance of trivia and banter, which often leaves me laughing out loud! So my kids and I love the “Would you rather” section but we quickly came to the end of available questions. We would like to replay it for fun but it just stays “congratulations, you have finished all questions. We will let you know when there are more.”
Also, with storytime, the concept is great but they only ask you a question about once every 30 minutes. Kind of boring and the stories are in no way short. Which is a bummer when you figured it out in the first 10 minutes.
My last gripe is with tune time. Once you start a game, it will not let you end and choose another genre until it has gone thru all 20 songs. Saying “quit” or “new game” does nothing.

Update: I’m so bummed that they ended Drivetime Daily Trivia. I loved it. I’ve kept my subscription a little while so I can go back and play older episodes I’ve missed until I run out, but since they stopped new episodes the app is plagued with glitches. 75% of the time I can’t download the episodes I’m trying to.
I love Drivetime! It takes my mind off the commute and I’m learning so much random information. My BF is tired of me saying “on Drivetime today I heard...” I don’t have a consistent M-F commute. I got the premium so I can play episodes on the weekend from days I missed during the week. Well worth the price and I am a cheapskate.

It’s okay but needs work.
I loved this game when it worked. But I basically need perfect cell service for it to work. Two bars of cell connection doesn’t work. I was angrily yelling at my phone trying to get it to register my answers. It was infuriating. I would consider paying to have unlimited games except I can’t play on my commute to/from work because I rarely have more that 2 bars of cell service at any given time. I’ll just go back to listening to podcasts on my commute....they will load with 2 bars of service. This game won’t.

I think this a fantastic idea. Like that Plaid11 said. There are studies for both sides of the argument so obviously this app wouldn’t be for everyone. There are those of us that can do and those that can’t. I’m sorry you are one of those that can’t. Doesn’t mean this app is a bad app/idea. I think it’s way better then 1) listening to most of the trash the radio has to offer 2) better then watching videos like some people do 3) great idea for when you’re an Uber/Lyft driver and/or with your family (especially if you have younger kids). I get what they were saying but good lord. There’s always gotta be someone out there to ruin your day.

Still want a weekend mode, but you guys are just getting better and funnier all the time! This is now firmly a daily habit for me, i play with the kids on the school run (they mostly guess, but ❤️ it when they get a question right 😜 and hear that "ping!" sound) and then I finish up the show on my drive to work. I signed up for Premium and am now able to play another show on my way home - thank you guys, for making my commute something that I and the kids look forward to every day! 😘 give us weekend shows 🙏
