Great Game needs adjustment
Like most here writing reviews always have been Dynasty Fan, it’s nice to see different challenges and login rewards. I also like once you become higher level you can use free sweeps making the game not so slow and grinding.
The game has stunning graphics and is fun to play. I like all of the different ways to boost BR.
I do wish there was more high level characters in SR and SSR that weren’t just pay to get. Seems unrealistic to spend $100 for a single character and continue spending to star them up... can buy full console games for less... There needs to be more ways to earn them that can be earned daily without server competition . I also want more costumes and customization, that aren’t just bought with $$.
My BIGGEST PROBLEM with this game is the Server Merge!!
I have put quite a bit of my time and money into this game and reached top 5 in the server, then you merged with older servers with deep pocket players that pushed me down to 30th place!
I’m sure I’m not the only one frustrated about this since most of the rewards are given to top 10 power players!! Even if I spent hundreds of dollars it would not get me back to top place, so it seems pretty pointless to spend any more real money on this game.

Fun for a few months
The gameplay is great and the way it is set up differently than other DW games was interesting. But leveling up characters without spending money becomes impossible and even getting half of the characters is impossible if you don’t put a significant amount in at all. You will work hard to build your characters only to realize you cannot compete with the other players that put hundreds of dollars into the game. Then people start to leave the game so it appears there are lots of people playing when in fact they are all running around on your screen but not even on the server at that time. So it’s a lose lose situation, you don’t spend money and can’t compete or you spend money only to play the same 25 players over and over again in head to head. Then you get to the weekly aspirations and guild war and realize more than half of the cities are not even occupied because no one is really on the game. Or you get matched up against another guild and maybe one or two of their members are even on so you continue to get bye rounds. This makes the game so boring!
If you are looking to kill some time this game is perfect but if you are looking for a new game to really put time and effort into don’t waste your time here because the way players are leaving the game will be dead soon. At least the only players that will be left you will never be able to compete with and so the big rewards you need you won’t be able to get.

Takes me back to dynasty 3 childhood
I don’t where to start I’m almost absolutely smitten with this game, I enjoy the little story line that’s going on. The game slows down a few times and you gotta explore other areas of the game to obtain experience to progress in the story mode. But it isn’t that terrible. I enjoy that the characters you acquire during the game you may change into if you wish to have a different that’s pretty neat I think. However my one complaint is there are certain characters that are locked and say “stage drop” I really wish there was info in game on where to farm the select character I’d really enjoy “xiahou yun” in my list... There’s a select few games that I really enjoy via mobile but this one is definitely one I appreciate it takes me back to my childhood. Litterally the only thing that would make this game better honestly is two things a smarter AI when you auto play. And character customisation. Thank you to the developers

Great, great potential but....
Don’t get me wrong. This games is amazing. I have been a longtime Dynasty Warrior fan ever since I can remember. This game takes me right back to my childhood! However, even has great has the game is....there is one glaring problem; this is a very heavy based pay-to-win game. I mean, the beginning is fun and you progress rather quickly. But like all potentially great games, it slows down a lot and becomes nearly impossible to progress, let alone compete with the top players spending hundreds of dollars. Take this from someone who has spent nearly $100 on this game already and still struggling to compete with the top guys... it’s not even worth it for me at this point in the game. I refuse to spend anymore money because you have just got to keep spending if you want to see some real progression. And the store packs are outrageously expensive for what you get. It’s a painfully slow game that will push away a lot of players.....players who find this game very reminiscent. It’s a shame games with this much potential, are ruined by developers who just want to make a quick buck.

Fun but Greedy
I enjoy playing this game but the paywall really prevents you from making significant progress. You can’t even complete the normal campaign mode due to level requirements verses stamina and low amounts of XP awarded. The combination of these three things force you to buy more stamina or wait until the next day to recover it. The pay to play stamina system really slows your progress to a snails pace. It causes western audiences to leave the game due to inactivity. It makes a great game feel slow and empty. You can get Officer shards to unlock new characters at a reasonable pace. It’s understandable the SR and SSR shards are a little harder to get. There are plenty of activities to do in order to acquire XP pills to level them up. You can buy them from the market using in game currency.. All that being said... The stamina paywall is the biggest issue here. If this company would reconsider their pay scheme to match the values of western audiences, this game could be a 5 star hit with longevity.. if not.. it will be completely dead within a few years..

This is a great game but the reason why I didn’t give it 5 stars is because you have to spend lots of money in order to significantly upgrade your characters in a decent amount of time. Otherwise it’s literally gonna take forever to get your character to reasonably compete against other players, especially those who are spending hundreds of dollars or more to drastically upgrade their characters. This makes it very frustrating and extremely difficult for those who don’t spend money to boost character enhancements. And more so impossible because you have to spend money to top up in order to reach higher levels. I think it would be a better game without spending money because it would make it much more fair and competitive for everyone.

Fun but obvious P2W mechanics
Its a fun game no doubt. Decent graphics, not too harsh on the battery, and an easy to get used to battle system. Of course this is an energy game, so there is a lot of down time within the game, and not much too do in terms of non stamina consuming activities. A good amount of content and ways to increase your BP for free ( I am currently at 200k bp after three days and not having spent a penny) there is obvious micro transactions, but they are not really in your face. Good amount of goodies for f2p people, just wish there were more units to collect. They have an ok amount right now, but they desperately need to release more. Gonna see how this game ends up, as I love Dynasty Warriors for console.

Although this game is quite fun and I enjoy playing it as I do with other dynasty warrior games, there is one big caveat. Money, money, greedy money. I don’t mind buying a few packages to support the producer, which I know all the work they put into this game, but when is enough? After putting all those money the farther you go into the game the more often you will find yourself getting slow down until standstill. The game have a lots of potential, but if you don’t have more money to spend good luck with that. They know the more you level up the more it will take to level up, and more mean extra help you will need. This game never ends and it won’t, it just challenges you to give in and open your wallet for solutions to the problems that they set you up to.

Game looks and plays fantastic, like old school ps2-ps3 dynasty warriors, except with ridiculous anime special abilities (which look good...) like demon hands coming out of the ground that don’t make sense or match the game’s history.
My issue is this: everyone who’s played one of these games is well aware of fights you are supposed to lose, that’s fine in the past games, but here it’s not part of the story progression. They try to make you fight Lu Bu, yes, that Lu Bu, early in the game at a point where you literally can’t possibly be prepared for it and would need to pay money to advance or grind for AGES on previous stages to upgrade your gear.
I don’t mind giving a game money, they deserve it for their effort, but trying to force me to pay to play a free to play game is dishonest and turns me away from you as a company. Fix this and I’ll update my review.

Literally had to stop mid game to review
OMG. If you told cute lil young gamer me that THIS would be a thing and real I’d die! I always wanted a phone dynasty warriors game but knew it would probably look ugly until now cause I’m like ITS GOOOOOOOODD. It’s soo fun so fulfilling just as it is playing it on consoles. I also really love their adaptions to the characters it’s really cool to see a mix up and trying something new things and it’s actually working. BOMB A PLUS. there is a lot of in game purchases that aren’t completely necessary so you’ll do fine if you don’t want to buy anything they just do have some characters you can only get through buying but luckily I just want xiao qiao and she’s free
