After the screening, users are provided with a detailed and individualized report of their results.

This report includes:
- A Total Dyslexia Score, which measures the overall likelihood that any problems they have with reading and spelling are related to dyslexia
- Six Dyslexia Subscale Scores, which measure the key brain processing functions that underlying dyslexia-related challenges
- Detailed and individualized recommendations outlining steps that can be taken to improve performance and limit challenges at school or work
- A detailed list of resources that can be used to implement the recommendations
- Recommendations on when further professional assessment is needed

Knitwoman,
Extremely impressed with this tool
As a professional dyslexia tutor, I appreciate having a comprehensive report that gives me a solid idea of where my students are struggling. Sometimes I work with a child who has had a professional assessment completed by an educational psychologist, but oftentimes parents come to me with vague concerns and no report. In these cases Dr. Eide’s screening test is an exceptionally useful tool. I especially love the visual web that shows where any weaknesses exist. While I know the tool was primarily developed for students who have not been formally evaluated, I have had some of my students who have had formal evaluations take it as well. I am so impressed with how the report isolates weaknesses and scores them. And the support suggestions are so nicely organized and easy for parents to understand. Every single parent who has seen their child’s screening result has been impressed. It gives them clarity as to why their child is struggling and is something they can bring to the IEP table. It is also easier for them to understand than the psychologist’s report. Further, It helps them understand why I use certain procedures or resources with their student.

In short, I highly recommend this app. I believe it has made me a better tutor to my students and communicator to my parents.

Can’t recommend enough
Anyone with a struggling learner understands the daunting and uphill task of determining how to help them succeed. Additionally overwhelming is seeking the best path to, or not to, seek a diagnosis. This is where the app comes in…

We received instant feedback with a breakdown of possible areas of weakness and a prompt email from Dr. Eide reviewing our child’s results. The report was comprehensive with options for remediation for each of the areas and videos with further explanation. Dr. Eide was even willing to review the plan that I outlined and offer further suggestions. I now feel confident in taking steps to strengthen and assist my child where he struggles.

The app itself was easy to navigate for my child and relatively enjoyable. The fox that interacts is positive and encouraging (which was not our experience with state testing)! The tasks were broken into nine sections, with the option of taking breaks as needed. Because of the variety and pleasantness, my child felt ease in completing the test in one setting. If you’re on the fence with purchasing the app, you can’t go wrong with this painless option for assessing your student. Worth it X 1000!

Amazing tool
As a homeschooling parent, I have found this app test to be invaluable. Neither my husband nor I have any struggles with dyslexia, so when two of our three kids started showing difficulties in learning to read and spell, we knew we had to dig in and figure out what to do. We quickly found that getting a formal diagnosis of dyslexia can be very difficult and costly, so we began to explore other options. After much research, we found Neurolearning. Neurolearning gave us the data we needed to direct the education of our dyslexic children. The test was easy to take (our kids were 7 and 8 when they took it) and the kids enjoyed it because it felt like they were playing a game. The report we received afterward was filled with helpful information and resources. We especially appreciated the personal emails from Dr. Eide after taking the test - this extra touch was hugely helpful, especially for one of our kids who we consider to be a “stealth dyslexic”. Highly recommend.

Unbelievable follow up service
We purchased this app to test my 10 year old niece who struggles tremendously in writing and keeping up in school. She lives in a rural area with inadequate health services available so being able to take a test online was so valuable. The test report stated that she was almost definitely not Dyslexic. I thought that was the end of that; however within a few minutes of receiving the report, the cofounder of the company emailed me asking why we had thought she was dyslexic. We exchanged several emails (late on a Saturday night!) wherein he asked a lot of follow up questions and provided a much more likely diagnosis which explained why my niece was struggling. He provided resources and recommendations and pointed us on a path forward. This kind of service is unbelievable. Getting access to a specialist is so challenging in rural areas. I feel incredibly lucky to have stumbled across this app. Thank you so much!

Well-designed, thorough, and incredibly helpful
If you’re considering using this app for someone you know, go for it!

I suspected that my son was experiencing some learning difficulties and after hearing Drs. Fernette and Brock Eide on a podcast, I realized he had several characteristics of dyslexia and decided to try the app. It was very easy to use and I received a thorough report about my son’s results in the same business day, along with an email with a few personalized suggestions based on the information I provided in the registration process. I appreciate the extra attention and feel it is well worth the cost.

Based on the results, my suspicions seem to be correct and we are pursing a formal diagnosis. Thanks to this app, I feel empowered to help my son and move forward. I have already recommended the app to a friend and will continue to as we get more involved in the dyslexia community.
Seattle Dyslexia Consulting,
Finally, a fantastic dyslexia screener!
I’ve just tried the Dyslexia Screening Test with a sophomore in high school, and it was a dream to use from start to finish: It involved no set up, was very clear and user-friendly for my student, and instantly generated an excellent, accessible, customized report. The report included a concise and straightforward cluster of scores (for example, rapid naming, phonological awareness, and working memory) indicating my student’s likelihood of having dyslexia. The report also provided high quality recommendations and resources. The screening tasks were similar to those I use in my clinical practice, but I didn’t have to spend any time photocopying or report writing! The scores have high reliability ratings, which means I can confidently share them with my student’s parents and school. Highly recommend for dyslexia specialists and teachers in schools and private practice.
Anon?1808,
Great resource!
I highly recommend this app!

When my child started homeschooling in March, I quickly realized that something seemed different with how my child was progressing with spelling. Combined with some previous things I had noticed, I decided that it was time to have him evaluated. Unfortunately, the quarantine closed all the medical offices and the evaluation department we plan to use will not be reopened until September. This app allowed me to screen my child and after receiving a high likelihood of diagnosis, our school is already using this information to consider teacher placement and possible accommodations.

In addition, I was pleasantly surprised that the app has real doctors behind it evaluating the results. Within 24 hours of completing the evaluation, I received a very personal email explaining the results and what I can do right away to support him.

Worried about your Child, Perfect APP to start the process
As a parent who has had my child in public, private and homeschool, this app was exactly what we needed to screen our son. I was amazed at the professional follow up we received from both the written report and a personal phone call by a doctor when my sons scores were hard to interpret. The relief of finally having some answers to his struggles has been immense. We have a plan now to help him due 100% to me deciding to invest in this app. We were on the fence about testing him because the cost was so high and it was not clear if he was dyslexic. This app is a lifesaver as a first step in screening your child. 100% recommend. I took the test and found out that I too and dyslexic- I have been wondering about some of my challenges my entire life.
stupidassefforttofindnickname,
A very happy mom here....
An Educational Consultant recommended Neurolearning to me. It is truly a great app to see if you or a loved one might have dyslexia. My entire family took the test. It rated me as “very high” but not surprising since I am dyslexic. My oldest (11 years old) as “moderate.” I now know what he needs to focus on to help him in school and in life. I had my youngest (8 years old) take the test even though he had recently completed a neuroeducational evaluation. He tested “very high” and his weaknesses correlated with his $3500 neuroeducational evaluation!

The best part of Neurolearning is that you receive a personal email from them with your results. Dr. Eide has been AMAZING in answering ALL of my questions! Because of Neurolearning and Dr. Eide, I am now confident that my boys will have the best tools to help them become successful!
Melanie Stone,
Wonderful screening app!!
This app was recommended to me by a friend who has a dyslexic child. She said it came highly recommended from a dyslexia group she is part of. The app was easy to administer to my 7 yr old and only took about 45 minutes total. The results have been very helpful in determining what tools will best help my son based on the areas in which he struggles most. The report is very detailed and informative with many links for helpful products and support. The most impressive thing to me was receiving a personal email from the CEO of the company who created the screening test with specific recommendations for my son. He was very helpful! I am very pleased and feel like I have a clear path for supporting my son. Thanks so much for this app!!
