EchoLink for iOS provides access to the EchoLink network for validated EchoLink users. You can use this app to connect to the EchoLink system from almost anywhere, using an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

Add more to app
Can you add a live listen feature so that I can listen to live conversations. On Allstarlink this is available, but not on ECHOLINK. I don’t like Allstarlink because I can only use on the pc and only one browser works with JavaScript. I think more people will download ECHOLINK if the live listen feature were to be added. I am a licensed ham. Sometimes just want to know the conversation before joining. Please add this feature.

No Problem with this App since it started.
The registration process went well and used many repeaters all over the world. This app sounds very clean going into the local repeater. One time this app had trouble but it was due to the ham club repeater problems which I could receive fine but the repeater didn’t hear my TX audio and the repeater club technician fixed the issue on the repeater. There was another issue with another local repeater and the other repeater owner fixed it. So I give the developers here a high five and a big THANKS because it’s great to use my IPhone on vacation to get into our club repeater! It’s more convenient than Yaesu’s digital Wires X and not sinking money into equipment when all you have to do is pick up the phone with EchoLink!

Echo Link. Definitely not Dstar
I have been trying to work with a D*forever. It is so difficult to try to talk to anybody on the star. But Echolink is a dream it easy to do. I was in Germany and so easy to pick up my phone connect to EchoLink and talk to my Ham Radio partner is back in Arkansas. Where ever I am in the United States I can pick up my telephone click on the D store app and talk to anybody on the ham radios. It is an actual dream. I want you to try that with the star and you are going to be sadly sadly sadly disappointed. This is the thing get this app it is it

Works less than 5% of the time
It would be a neat app if it worked. Unfortunately for the iPhone and iPad users it seems to only connect if there is someone already connected to a repeater via EchoLink (more testing will be done). I once spent more than an hour trying to connect. I never did get connected after trying 200 attempts. I know the repeater was active because I could hear people talking on the repeater from my rig on my desk (my rig can’t transmit right now much like this app).
I have tried direct, relay, public proxy almost no luck. I have tried to connect through the wifi in my home or though 4g cell phone towers still almost no luck.
I can connect to echo test repeater just fine every time.
If you load this app prepare to be disappointed. Devs need to add ads when opening the app to get the money together to fix this.
Even add advertisements before connecting to a new repeater. Whatever. As it stands it gets one star for almost never working.

My Link to home when on the road - BUT
Very useful and works well for me on iOS 13 on iPhone X, EXCEPT text in message text box is invisible when iPhone/iPad is in “Dark” mode. Then the font in the text box turns white and is invisible against the pale yellow background. Same in IPad Pro. Please fix this bug.
Update: Fixed in latest update for iPhone. Thanks! Still same problem on iPad with iOS 13.3 when in Dark Mode.

Searching for call sign s
Hello I been try to search a call sign out and with any call sign I have put in the search comes up empty I can find my all call sign but no others I even used the nod to find the person and nothing can you tell me if their is something wrong with search bar he is even verified by echolink and he still does not show in any of the other forms

Works great on iPhone, not on iPad
Have this on my iPhone and tried installing on iPad 4 mini on IOS 13.3.1. Login works ok but only shows stations in a map form with many known stations missing and no way to open any of them. No other options to search for stations. When you click them on the map, it just gives the call sign but no way to login. Only shows qso, stations and settings buttons at bottom. Guess I’ll have to stick to my iPhone (IOS 13.3) for now.

Generally great app
Running on iPad Pro. Only complain, people seems to complain about my audio level. I do. To see option to increase mic gain in app. I have to talk about 1 inch from speaker to be heard. Face time and all other a-s do not have any issues

White text in chat box
Good app, works well, love the map feature, but the text box for chat is yellow and the text shows up white so it’s basically unreadable. Far war I g ost connection issues are due to your router/firewall, after port forwarding to the devices I use EchoLink I have not had any issues connecting, iPad Pro, IOS 13.6 and on Mac + Windows 10

Great App!
I am a brand new Ham and I just downloaded this app on the very first try made a very fun contact with Okinawa Japan! I had a great conversation with a gentleman for almost 40 minutes. This app is what it is but nonetheless it is a useful tool and I find it very enjoyable. Looking forward to future updates and more fun on Echolink.
