EdiRange is a mobile companion app for Edimax smart Wi-Fi Extenders. Smart extenders help to solve Wi-Fi problems and extend wireless coverage to dead zones that your existing signal can’t reach.
EdiRange provides a convenient solution to manage your smart extender and survey your local Wi-Fi environment, with easy-to-understand analytics to help you avoid wireless interference from your neighbors and get the best performance for the wireless devices in your home.
Plus, you can manage the extender’s wireless network and functions such as its guest network feature and Wi-Fi scheduling.

Good image of signal strength when it does not crash
Definitely the most unstable App in the past 6 years, one in 5 starts or less are successful. When it does work has a nice graphic interface to show signal strength. Also helps one manage the device.

The extender works well but this app doesn’t do anything anymore. I used to be able to change the channels to get a better signal. Now the help screen is all I can access. The management screen does nothing.

App Works When Connected to the Extender!
This app works well. However it would only work when device (such as an iPad) is connected to the Edimax Wi-Fi extender. Otherwise it would drop instantly after typing in the default password and hitting login. Funny it does tell you this in the "Help" section in the App but no one would be able to see it if they were not connected properly in the first place. There should have been a message prompting the connection to the Extender.

Great!!! (Crash fix tip!)
Ok so the product has been working PERFECT! I decided to download the app, which I don't really plan on using much. Just to test out its functions. Everything seems great. At first it did crash when I would try to input the password. So I decided to re-download the app and restart my phone before starting the app back up again. After that I tried again and the app worked PERFECT!

Everyone is correct. I just got this app, and the only thing it appears to be good for is crashing. I was able to scan my connection once, then all it has done since is crash on log in. I don't have a real good feeling about the extender either, as my "bars" have stayed the same after I installed it. We'll see.

New Version 1.05 display issue
Version was supposed to fix crashes, but it really did was corrupt the Wi-Fi Environment display screen. Uninstalled Version 1.05 and reinstalled Version 1.04 and everything displays correctly again.

Don't buy it or DL it
Everyone is right. I've had this extender for a year. It works okay, no major complaints. The app use to work, but I've since updated my router and had to establish the connection again. Crashes every time, yet I keep trying. What's the definition of insanity? Save your time and money.
