Dart-Gun,
A Solid RPG.
I liked it. Maybe you will too. Very generous for beginners and not so for higher levels. Overall tho, very generous for both.
Combat is a funky mix of that game “Super Hot” then mix that with a turn based strategy. Not a bad idea it works well, you can ether chose to run if you feel like u can’t handle a fight or if your bravely strike fast and hard without any issues. Tutorial wise: the tutorial isn’t terrible but it doesn’t teach the extras. It only teaches you the bare minimum the rest is up to you. Which I don’t mind but this game has a lot of stuff in it and the screen is a bit cluttered. It took me a couple actual irl hours to notice that weapons degrade if not constantly maintained.
Is it P2W? Not really. Theres Gacha but not game breaking or OP gacha it’s just like new teammate gacha or I got a piece of bread or I got this pretty sword. For the record Teamates don’t actually determine if you win a fight or not. They do help you fight battles but if there also not constantly maintained they also will fail. Tho since there isn’t any pvp (at least that I’m aware.) I guess that doesn’t really matter. It’s all PVE. I spent a good amount of hours and I had the best available gear from both markets, NPCs and dungeons and pretty decent stuff but I still couldn’t steamroll enemies.
Which means that this game is doing something right. So far so good. I’d hope to see what this game goes into the future. Both updates and content wise. Keep it up!
Sapparu,
Much like the PC version
Having spent thousands of hours on the PC version of Elona, this is a real nice mobile version of the game with updated graphics, extended tutorial and improved quest tracker. I don’t find this game as pay to win because I’ve had a built a very strong solo character in the PC version and can probably expect that with the mobile version. The start can be very brutal because you’re most likely going to be relying on fast allies and riding a fast ally such as a bike or if it’s possible in this version, a raptor. Hopefully living weapons are also a thing in this version. I’m also excited to experience rocks being thrown at me while playing poorly with instruments and having that instantly kill me which is a hilarious way to die. But enough rambling about Elona, this game is a must play if you like roguelikes and love continually building a character to become an unkillable machine.

PS - there are different quality beds, cooking tools, etc that improve your success rates or skill levels at better rates, you can probably dig this information up on a wiki. Buy or find a fireproof blanket to avoid losing potions and scrolls. Always keep an item to help you escape from danger. The laser gun is a good bread and butter weapon if those exist in the mobile version. Dual wielding is great late game but needs a lot of skill levels to be useful early on.
Crisis Criteria,
Fun, quirky, dungeon-diving goodness
I like this game a lot. I’ve never played the PC version, but I want to now. There are occasional small translation issues, like NPCs always referring to your character as a man (even when you pick a female gender) and a dog getting called Poppy by its owner but Bobby by its description, but most things are clear enough to be understood. The game requires a fair deal of experimentation— at the start, tapping on all the icons to see what they do; later on, going into random locations on the map, examining items on the ground, etc.— but that’s part of the fun of a roguelike in my opinion. And the logic of this world is just so bizarre, it’s great. I hope they keep adding to it.
Lux Arcana,
fun rpg but not mmorpg
Interesting RPG, where you use skills to level them up. It's not really an MMORPG, since you're playing pretty solo most of the time. You do have a player made guild, but it's not overly social unless you go into a third party chat room like discord. I find it fairly fun, not overly p2w since you're only progressing against yourself most of the time unless you're impatient like me. Lol. There's definitely gacha elements that grab your money, but not required. It's fairly ok to spend at $30 for the permanent ruby card to get a few gems and 1/40 piece to summon an red (highest tier but not all are great) ally. You mostly need to be picky on what to spend on and be patient to play. I do think they could use a lot of help on their translation.
Uzumaki Estelle,
Amazing
Pretty amazing and similar to the PC version which surprised me personally. There is of course the new implementation of micro-transactions but I’ve found that you don’t really need to buy much at all, and all the packs and such are super cheap either way, maybe if you want character skins or are aiming for a certain special pet/ally that’s in the gacha made for them, then you’ll have to spend a bit but otherwise it doesn’t feel like there is pressure and you can get everything else just from playing from what I’ve experienced. Definitely recommend you try it at least and form your own thoughts towards it. :)
Noveonet,
Could use some more polish
I felt like this game was a little bit too overwhelming to start off with. The UI is very confusing, and with how short and flat the tutorial was, I had to figure out most of it on my own. It took me ages to figure out how to level up traits or to put stuff in the home chest.

Also, the story seems very lackluster. While I was doing the dungeon portions, it would interrupt the action to show some scene between these other characters, which was usually just an exposition dump with uninteresting dialogue. Definitely that kind of cliche fantasy story.

Note that I haven't played the PC version that a lot of people are mentioning here, nor have I played a lot of games much like this one before. That being said, I still feel like it would have been nice to have some more organization for the game.
Akairon,
Open, free and deep RPG game
I played for a week now. This game is actually very fun to play. I can almost do anything with the game including killing the NPC I disliked or avoid paying tax. The hunger, sleep, potential mechanics are great too. With gene combination technique and race class combinations, there are just too many possibilities to try with. Which is also a downside since the game has a very high learning curve in the beginning. One suggestion is to add controller setting to the game. I believe the Asian version of the game has controller enabled setting. In addition, more polish to the game including a better tutorial for beginners. Thank you very much!
TaoAccDeChoi,
Could be better
The game is really fun but there are some problems:
1. Lack of music. Music is an important part of any game as it will lead the player how to feel toward certain scenes or places. In elona mobile, there are like 5 ost for all of the game. And there is no combat music when u fight enemies which make it kind of boring
2. The story is too short and very generic.
3. Repetitive gameplay when u reach a certain level. This happen when u reach level 45 and up until lv70 as u will finish the main storyline and u are able to go to north tyris, but you are too weak to beat any north tyris dungeon so u have to go back to farm
4. Marriage with your ally doesnt feel like marriage as the only reation u will get is they blushing, it just feel like you get item from them. Could be better if the game use a cutscene or create a place look like a wedding
5. Cant play offline. I understand they need it to prevent player from cheating time to get reward, but they need to make elona offline otherwise it will be really inconvenience when the player stay in a place that doesnt have wifi
Carling56,
A very good Rougelike port
Now rougelikes like Elona tend to be complicated affairs when ported to a mobile system, especially since Elona for the pc was one of the more immersive types of rougelikes, and yet this version has pulled through.

Yes there are gacha mechanics at play, but just like in the pc version of Elona, with a decent enough level to survive them many of those gacha pulls are available with just buying monster balls and capturing them. Plus, one of the diamond passes is a reasonable 30 dollars and does not expire, at all.

And for those of you who like to cheese the game, the nuke and cave exploit is still in this version too.
Lexa2095,
Confusing
I honestly forgot I even tried this game out. I went back to it today and realized I have absolutely no idea how I started or how I got to the point in the…. story? It feels like I’m still in a tutorial at the beginning, but I have absolutely no idea how far I am. I’ve forgotten literally everything about this game. There’s no journal for me to see what my completed quests are or see my progress into the story. I also couldn’t find any control settings so I can at least see what I can tap. I’d rather just restart my character and start fresh, but I can’t figure out how to do that. I’m not coming back to this game again. It’s just too confusing to figure out where I am or what I can do.
