Long decent quality
The game said I played for 30 hours! That’s a lot of game play for $6.99. Of course if you download it and pay later it’s only $2.99. Search for Emberwing on the App Store as there are two versions of the same game. Graphics are great but it’s tough to get around - I find myself hitting the hint button all the time for the first half of the game. It’s a bit tiresome as I can’t see how this game plot worked for the first half of the game. The second half was better. You have a kid and a dragon helping you at the end, which was very fun, especially to see how the pet dragon is used. Not too much magic, although the potions and the altars are a bit much. Most of the dragons and elves are good looking and well drawn. You get your money’s worth for game play for sure!

Fabulous game, BoomZap and BigFish. It had great elements, including a dragon story which we haven't had tons of games about. The graphics were gorgeous and the cut-scenes totally fabulous. Items were labeled and you had a teleport map with marked tasks. The HO scenes were so different that I felt like I was doing puzzles instead of boring regular hidden object lists. There were tons of puzzles/mini-games! The game was quite long and had a bonus chapter. You were given objectives to complete one at a time. Loved it!
So why didn't I rate it 5 stars? First of all, it was a bit glitchy, leading me to think I wasn't using the correct item when I needed to! That drove me a bit crazy. Also the map would say there were tasks in an area when there weren't! Also, a journal would have helped!
But, NO RATS and all-in-all, a very good gaming experience! BigFish, keep the hits coming and please can we have another Empress?

Using: iPad Air. iOS 8.2. 64 GB memory. NO problems with loading, getting kicked out of the game, abrupt restarts, loss of game advancement, etc.. Smooth as butter!
This was undoubtedly one of the best Adventure/HO game I have played in a Long long time. Good plot that kept game interest high, appropriate music, beautiful graphics, No game-bugs, good voice-overs, interesting HO modifications, great mix of puzzles and HO's (and Adventure: Many games have no plot, and are too heavy on HO's or puzzles), great hint button with transport feature, etc.. So why did I give it only 4 stars? The Bonus round (no indication that it was the bonus round) seemed hastily put together, wit almost no plot, and puzzle after puzzle after puzzle....... Boring! Exactly the opposite of the main game. Love ya Boom-Zap, but your bonus section nearly ruined the hard work you put into the main game! I will definitely but the next game in the series, but please don't disappoint with a hastily put together Bonus ending!

Emberwing is a Burning Passion for Players!
Hooray for a great game from Boom Zap called Emberwing! The premise is great: your son, Tevin, has been captured by a dragon because Tevin can be of help to the dragon race. Elves are trying to help you recover your child. As a Hint button, you have a mechanical dragon which you have repaired for Tevin. Along the way, you collect gold dragon medallions. The Hint button works well, and you have a map, too. There is a Strategy Guide. The Hidden Object scenes are fairly typical, with a few little quirks. In general, you get hints for being helpful to others, which I enjoy. The art work is colorful, and many times objects are not visible until you move an object or complete a puzzle. I am still near the beginning, but, so far, most quests were readily apparent, such as Collect extra feathers, then Use feather duster.

I'm not going to lie, I bought this game because it was on sale for such a great price and I love similar big fish games, and so far it is the best one I have played. The graphics are great as well as the storyline, it was extremely detailed and well worth the price, and I just found myself enthralled as I played a game that kept me excited, smiling, and extremely happy. Buy this game! I do need one answer to a question that has been bugging me ever since I finished the game: what happened to the guinea pig or armor? Was it returned to the bear? What is your son do with it? Did it survive the cold temperatures?! Also did it goat with the coat ever find a nice home and a caring person to adopt him? These are hard questions I know but I'm in dire need of answers ha ha

Granted, I've only played the trial but, given what I've experienced, I've gone ahead and purchased this latest HOAP from BOOM ZAP.
Darker than their earlier offerings, this is a joyful fantasy excursion with you chasing down the dragon who's kidnapped your son. You meet some interesting characters (all voiced exceptionally well) and visit some colorful locations along the way. Graphics are stellar and the achievements are quite cool! 😎
Background music is especially noteworthy.
The theme of dragons has not been done to death, which makes this an interesting change of pace game to play. Yeah, the rescue part isn't new, but there are some plot twists to help the simple plot along.
Everything I look for in a game is here: varied puzzles, jump map, HOS are interactive and seem more like mini-games than HOS.
A SOLID OFFERING FROM BZ, I'm looking forward to playing this one. Kudos, all! 💐

Great, long game; according to the timer at the end, I played for ten hours and 22 minutes! Make sure you check the achievements before you play, a couple are different, such as "pet the goat five times." One thing I loved was that you KEPT a screwdriver for most of the game! Hurray! No having to find multiple ones because for some reason you lost it after using it lol. Nice story, although I still don't get why the elves were after the "treasure" (won't spoil it, but didn't make sense.) The puzzles ranged from simple to moderately difficult. I liked all the bright colors and characters. A really fun, awesome game!!

Best game I’ve ever played
I think I have played about ALL the games big fish has to offer. This was by far the best game I’ve ever played. Graphics are stunning and so well done. Music not annoying. Storyline very interesting and quite a long game. Even the puzzles were much more interesting than I’ve ever played. Great job Boom Zap! I want more! The only downfall I would say maybe bc its an older game sometimes you’d have to find just the right spot on an object to make it interact which can be frustrating. But worth every penny.

Beautiful graphics. I am not tired of fairies and elves. I love that the game is not too scary, the scenes are not dark and depressing. The number of HOS scenes are good and there aren't an overwhelming amount of objects in them. The only problem was the toy dragon disappearing on the pedestal in the secret room. The walkthrough just said to use the dragon which I didn't know what that meant when there was nothing there. For people with the same problem- just place the dragon on the pedestal even though there's nothing else there. The toy dragon reappears!

I would rate it higher
except that it is difficult to place items correctly. For example using the screwdriver was tedious as I had to try to get it in the exact right spot relative to the active site for it to work. Some of these types of games allow one to click the inventory item then click the spot where you want to use/place an item rather than drag them across the screen. That always works. I almost quit this game but persevered in spite of the difficulties.
