ABOUT THE AUTHOR/ARTIST

Professor Potts is a dashing investigator who loves nothing more than jet-setting around the world exploring scientific mysteries. His butler has a PhD in nuclear science and his dog will only eat bones from the Jurassic period.

Aidan Potts -his alter ego- has a slightly more tedious biography. Aidan was born in London 1963 and 6 months later he moved to Nigeria, followed by Bogota, Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, Tripoli, Libya and the Turks and Caicos. He studied History of Art at University College London, then began working as an illustrator for the British press. Among his books are “Uneversaurus” and “The Smash Smash Truck”.

y010ist,
Great app but needs work
I really like it but unfortunately to unlock all idioms you need to make a payment and who knows after an update of the app since there's no restore payment option. It would have been better if the full-version was released separately so that it would ease my mind in purchasing that.
Brutus the barber beefcake,
Update: (Still) Awesome App! Illustrations are Helpful.
I bought this app about three years ago (much longer than that now) and I still review the different idioms about once or twice a month (I took a break when I switched to a Samsung for a bit). The illustrations and explanations make the idioms understandable and easy to learn.
Timmy Nguyen,
Very nice and useful app!
This app is very useful for people who are interested in languages and learning new terms. The meanings of idioms are illustrated in a fun and joyful way, and the meanings are very clear also. By combining both definitions, examples and pictures for illustrations, the app makes remembering terms even easier.

The UI is simple yet gracious, but the menu pane is not the same style with the main UI of the app, making it looks awkward.

Overall, the app works great, I just hope the UI will be improved.
ERPreston,
Have to repurchase after every update
This app has to be purchased again after every update. So frustrating! The idiom illustrations are great, but they should choose ones that are more commonly used. I purchased this to use with middle schoolers, and many of the idiom descriptions are not appropriate for that age group.
Treeclawz,
The app didn't help me at all!
This app needs some help with the way it teaches children. When I got this I expected it to ask me questions but, it didn't. It just showed me pictures and a bit of a story. BUT I did sort of like how it has funny stories in it. Like the one called "Bob is your uncle" that one was kinda funny.
qTranaway,
Lost the contents I paid for
I like the app however this developer updated it in a way that I lost the contents I paid for in April 2014. S/he claims that new idioms have been added since to justify charging again. However I own what I have paid for, is that simple. Feel like being robbed.

Crazy unique nickname,
Works well
I really like this app.
ProSloth,
Great!
All the illustrations are wonderfully drawn as well as creative and informative! When i first got this I thought that since there's only 23 idioms it wouldn't be much, but each illustration has either an idiom or a brief history about the origins of the idiom. If you're looking for an idiom explaining app the look no further because this one is the best app so far. When I finish going through all idioms I am most definaty going to buy the rest of the idioms.
