You can now create albums where multiple ente users can add photos!
Shared albums can have both collaborators and viewers, and as many as you like. Storage is only counted once, for the person who uploaded the photo.
This complements the collaborative "collect" links that ente already supports (where people can add photos without ente accounts). This also goes another step further to improve partner sharing.
* Support for uncategorized photos - keep photos that do not belong to albums. This also allows you to delete albums whilst keeping their contents.
* Redesigned album selector when selecting where to add or move photos.

Introducing, Quick links.
Select some photos, choose "Create link" from the selection options, and, well, that's it! You'll get a link that you can share, end-to-end encrypted and secure.
Your quick links will appear at the bottom of the share tab so that you can remove them when they're no longer needed, or convert them to regular albums by renaming them if you want them to stick around.
Apart from that, this update also includes some other quality of life features:
* You can search for files by their names now.
* There is now a button on the albums tab to remove all empty albums in one go.
* Under Settings > General > Advanced, you'll now see an option to view and manage how ente uses temporary storage on your device.

Details: The Apple developer account that we use to publish ente Photos has changed. This unfortunately means that existing users who are already signed in will need to login again, since the updated version cannot access their credentials stored in the iOS keychain by the old account. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
In the future, this new developer account will allow us to provide a single login for both your ente Photos and ente Auth app by automatically sharing their credentials (as they're both published using the new developer account).
What's new in this update:

Outstanding support
Customer service from Ente is nothing short of amazing. The team replies promptly and is always courteous. I had a small issue with the app and they pushed an update in under 10 hours. The issue was completely resolved. I’ve had subscriptions with all the major E2EE storage apps and they don’t come close in any aspect.

Guess I missed the “paid subscription” part…
I was looking for an alternative to the idiotic Apple iCloud move planned for end of July 2023 and saw this recommended on an online post. But once I created an account and verified, I saw the payment screen. Sure, they offer a one-year free trial for 1 GB but I was looking for something more long-term than a year, and as unliked as Apple is, their free offer is 5GB. Just doesn’t make sense.
