TJT73,
Eric Snider’s Solitaire
I use the single deck Spider Solitaire. I love Eric’s implementation. The graphics are colorful and detailed. I like the hints. Both the glow and wiggle. The animation is usually smooth. There are occasions when a card will get “stuck” at the peak of the animation. It will freeze on screen at it’s largest size. This started over a year ago and has stayed in every version since. I have to tap somewhere else on the screen for the card to go back to its normal size. This should be fixed. It happens on any version of iPad and also on iPhone 6 and 8.

Spider Solitaire
I've been playing Spider ever since the game came out. It is still my favorite game. I have played over 36,699 games. My grandkids reseat one of my I pads and I was in the 10's of thousands. Grandmother was not a happy camper. They now know if they touch a game when there is an X jiggling the game disappears. Thanks for inventing this game.

Miss the old version
When I got new iPad the old Eric’s spider solitaire was unavailable. I have played it for years. This new version does not allow you to drag cards and looks so different. Hope I can get used to it. Very frustrating!

Good
Very good.
Bohicette,
I love this guy
Have both his Klondike and Spider games. He just knows how to write addictive, intuitive card games. Please do more!!! Freecell, Pyramid, Cribbage, Gin, you name it, I will buy it and probably be hooked like I am on these two.

I still love this game but even the most recent version, as mentioned by another poster here, does crash at the most inopportune times. It seems to crash when you take an inordinate amount of moves to beat a deal. Perhaps a problem with too large an undo stack? Particularly frustrating when you are just about to beat a very hard hand. Maybe the author can isolate and fix one issue with an otherwise, still stellar game.
Readingaloud,
The gold standard
Ever since the legendary Eric's Ultimate Solitaire, Eric Snider's solitaire versions are the gold standard for computer solitaire games. Spider is one of his best--you can tell that he's put a lot of thought into how to make the game more playable for the people who like to play it a lot. It's missing some of the bells and whistles that were so endearing about Ultimate, like the thematic card backs that appeared on holidays. And of course there's only one game here. But I think it's better to have a really good implementation of one game than a poor implementation of hundreds.

The program would easily be worth five stars but for its annoying tendency to crash just when you're cleaning up a won game. I think (but am not sure) that it helps to slow down a little when you're making the obvious moves in a won position.

Fastest Game Play Around
I've played Eric's games for years so I have certain expectation when he releases a new game. Spider Solitaire delivers.

The key difference in Eric's solitair games vs. other is his quick tap move. I never have to drag and drop. If I tap a card it will fly to the correct spot, unless there is more than one spot. In that case is chooses one. And if it is not the one you wanted, tap again.

This quick tap allows for very fast game play. I can play a game in just a few minutes.
Kat513,
Most intituitive controls
The games card-moving on trolls are the most intuitive I've seen. You can drag-n-drop or flick from the topmost card toward the destination, and the set of cards will float home to the next legal spot in the direction you chose.
The game is incredibly stable, never crashing. With my other iPad apps were this reliable.
In short, this game must have been designed, coded and tested by someone with high standards. Well done.
