ESA Coach is the new app designed by Astra Yacht for sailing coaches, which allows you to monitor and analyze in real time the wind and current weather conditions, and to keep track of athletes' performance.

Connect this App to the ESA Coach kit (https://www.astrayacht.com/prodotto/en/esa-coach/) and turn your iPhone / iPad into a perfect weather station. The ESA Coach kit consists of a control unit (integrated GPS and compass), a wind sensor and a current / speed sensor.
The data processed by the sensors are immediately visible on your screen, allowing you to make the best decisions in training and racing.

The ESA Coach app makes data available in various formats:
- Map: for viewing the position and data in real time, setting the routes, creating events;
- Wind history page: to view the wind data (intensity and direction) in real time and through graphs that record each variation;
- Current history page: with automatic calculation of the current (intensity and direction) in real time and through graphs;
- Current analysis page: makes it possible to calculate the current even in the absence of a speed sensor installed;
- Real-time data summary page.

The ESA Coach app allows you to easily and immediately calibrate the wind and current sensors installed on the boat.

Thanks to the complete integration with the ESA Dinghy devices (https://www.astrayacht.com/en/schede/esa-dinghy/), all navigation data and trim of the boats on which the control unit is mounted, are immediately available on the your iPad (position, speed, heeling, attitude). You will thus be able to monitor the performance of your athletes in real time to refine their technique.

The additional functionality, designed for the Race Committees, allows you to set the race course and create events, in which more users can participate. It is therefore possible to view marine weather data simultaneously in multiple points of the course and monitor the wind trend during the race.
Through the "route management" function it is possible to better position the waypoints, tracing the distance, the angle to the wind and the total length.
