Simple, Well Designed “This Day in History” App

This app is essentially an index of Wikipedia articles about events and famous birthdays on the current date. You can also give it permission to pull up pictures you took on this same date in the past. It’s very straightforward, with a nicely designed layout. Scrolling through each day’s events only takes a minute or two, and is a nice daily portion of history and trivia you may not have known before.

Nice interface quick fast dates

Fun little app sometimes hard to read white against b&w photos. The app is nicely done and looks good.

First time opener, not bad!

I really like the layout - different from other "news" type apps. It gives it a more special "feel" - not to mention the shifting pictures, nicely done! Simple news-and-noteworthy articles, not so many that it's overwhelming. I really like this app so far - if the content scope keeps me coming back for more, it will have earned its fifth star...

Interesting, but light on content

This app provides only one sentence about a few events that occurred on the current date. No in depth information in app; Wiki link opens Safari. No ability to change the date to see what happened on my birthday, anniversary, etc. Make these changes and you might have an app that engages the user and will have them spend more that a minute with it open.
