You can now switch between static and scaling pen widths when using the Draw Tool and Highlighter. The option is available in the Pen Size picker and in Settings under the Editing tab.
For all those who found the smallest pen size too big, you can disable the “Consistent Line Width” setting to make your lines as thin as they were before the big update. If you’d like to keep the setting enabled, you can zoom out a bit to get the same effect.

• Resize, Rotate, and Scale with Handles
To all trackpad, mouse, and precision enthusiasts: there is a new way of resizing, rotating, and scaling content on your canvas. You can now use handles to do all of the above. Select an object once with the Hand Tool to activate the handles. Oh, and the Inspector shortcut is there too! Just so you don’t have to select it from the Toolbar.

Loved it before, love it now
I teach at the graduate level, and long before the pandemic, I tried every app I could find for use as a virtual whiteboard. I can’t judge its more advanced capabilities compared to other apps, because I just use it exactly like I would use a physical whiteboard: I write, draw, erase, and write again. This app does those things in a very straightforward manner and gives me the same choices that markers do - I pick the color, I pick the thickness, and that’s about all the fancy my brain can handle in the middle of class. I prefer live whiteboards over “presentation slides” because students seem to learn more from words that I write in front of them in real-time than they do from pre-prepared presentation slides. When education went online for the pandemic, I stuck with what already worked. It still works.

Quiet
Apps these days just aren’t what they used to be. I tried this one a long time ago. I’m not a teacher, but I thought it would come in handy for what I was trying to accomplish. I wanted to be creative. It seemed to work. Then everything changed. I thought I would have to pay to use the app. But I found out that I didn’t. Now it seems that eventually I will if I want to keep using it. So it goes. However, I don’t think I will be keeping it. I can’t afford to pay for every app I want or need. I have to control my wallet.

A little confusing, poor playback options
I have tried many different apps for this purpose. I’ve noticed that while using this app, when I change the color of one slide it can change the color of all the others. Conversely, I’ll change the color and nothing will happen to the slide I’m on. My main complaint with this app is the inability to watch at 1.25 or 1.5 speed. This is rather frustrating, I don’t need to watch my video at eight times speed. I’m a medical student who uses this for my own review videos, not to be shared with others, but it’s still very difficult to edit the speed of the video after the fact.

Used to be so awesome - now it’s unstable
This has been a powerful app for me. I have used it for the last t years of my teaching. I screencast my lectures, annotating slides I create and import from ppt, while recording the visuals and audio to create a video that my students can review outside of class. I teach upper level chemistry courses and my students love this resource. But I have to delete and reinstall the app weekly because it loses track of a file and ceases to function without it.

Awesome, even better than awesome
I love explain everything whiteboard. I love making really cool projects on it and i do not even need a day trial. This app is for anyone who loves the computer application powerpoint. Great for making presentations. Anybody who works at a office and has to make a presentation should use this app. If you powerpoint. Man, will you you love explain everything. The really cool features on this app make it so much easier to make presentations than powerpoint. Highly reccomended

Great stuff, one problem
I teach Elementary. I love whiteboard apps and this one is pretty awesome. Requires some basic editing skills. However I haven’t figured out how to keep a recording of me going when I add a new page. Other apps allow you to keep recording when you add a slide or scroll over. This one seems to stop recording. I want to keep recording video but be able to clean the background without physically erasing every equation. Is there something I am missing? I’m using the offline version if that makes a difference

Broken Drive integration, learning to use is a big time investment
I have been trying to get it together to use this app to make a presentation for ages because it has great reviews. Maybe I just don’t get it, but it seems like each step to illustrate takes me forever to figure out and I’ve had it wipe out work I’ve done several times. The worst offense, though, is that now that I’ve got to the point where I want to insert educational drawings saved in my Google Drive, the integration with Drive is broken. I go to insert a File and it just spins endlessly. I’ve wasted hours in this app trying to learn how to use it and now can’t finish my lesson anyway.

Best APP for distance learning
I have been using this APP for several years to provide math instruction for my students. During remote instruction, this APP has become invaluable! It allows me to quickly upload pictures of my students work, and provide written and verbal feedback. My students love it! They say the verbal feedback really helps them understand their mistakes or their thinking, and lets them now how they can improve.
