Face Restore is an AI-powered old black and white (B&W) photo restoration app. It does full image colorization with vivid colors. It also does scratch removal, meaning, if your photo/image has any scratches or tears, the app will automatically detect them and repair/restore the photo. Face Restore does this in a very unique way, it adds missing information, especially in the face. For example, if a face in the image has a missing ear, the Face Restore AI will fill that missing information and create a new ear by drawing in a photo-realistic manner. That is to say, it is the most sophisticated scratch removing app at the moment. Paid for subscription but still have ads
Had delete the app then reload for it to work. Now it still makes me watch ads, even though I paid for a subscription.
As far as the photo restore, it does okay. It added some dark tones on the right side of a late 1960s headshot. However, it didn’t fix the too light area on the left and didn’t fix the photo scratch on the photo.
The colorized option turned it more of an antique color verses colored which may be my area.
Anyways, the photo looks a bit better but definitely got nipped by the subscription fee.

Great app
I have an extensive old photo collection and this app was able to clean up many of them and colorize the photos that I wanted or leave them in black and white. It also let’s you keep the original as well.

Not worth it, even if free.
It will color correct under “heal” option and when selecting “colorize” it removes the corrected color from “heal” and puts a highlight on each face. I can only save the face by itself or the full photo with muted colors and weird highlights of each face in the picture. I tried deleting the app and reinstalling as some reviews had suggested. Now the app won’t acknowledge I paid $10 for the month to use the ad free features! Waste!

I want my money back
It doesn’t restore, it doesn’t give you a good color, it look abnormal and I wasted my money in this and I want to cancel my subscription and doesn’t allow me. Crappie app. Oh and if it doesn’t put this comment, this is the third one I do, prior they don’t posted. For people like this is that many people don’t buy apps. Just saying. I want my money back because I pay for it and is asking me to pay $9 a week for the pro app. What’s going on.

Left blurs on photo
Wedding pictures of my parents from. 1941 didn’t loot to bad colorized for each face, my mom’s face had a large blurry spot in the middle of the. Face.
Other attempts seemed to make faces look cartoonish. Not to impressed.

App is worthless
I’ve tried your app & sorry to say it’s worthless so Here’s the problem.
Your app stated restore damage photos. Well I have several photos that has cracks and several like burned spots.
Not even one cracks your app didn’t take it way, on your video shows what my problem is. On left handed side (back ground is green) the guy has many cracks and it shows your app removing the cracks. Your app when I used it, not one cracks was removed.
One of my photo I used your app, it has my mom, my dad and my brother who was killed in Vietnam. This picture is very important to me.

Very disappointed
I downloaded and paid for the app. After trying to use it the app with my first photo it would close on its own. Then when I would reopen it the app wouldn’t load any photos for me to use. Really bummed I paid for this when I can’t even use it.

I paid for the subscription, but I can’t even use the app. Everything I try says “Under Maintenance “. I don’t understand why it didn’t say that when I downloaded the app. Instead it took my money for something I can’t even use. I would like my money back.

I was excited to restore old photos, when I first tried this out I really thought it was a joke because of how stupid the pictures come out after clicking enhance buttons. Honestly you’re better just using Facetune
