About Intermittent Fasting.
When you eat, you store energy in the liver as glycogen. But after 10 to 12 of fasting, your glycogen reserves will be deficient, which means you'll start to convert fat into energy for your body and brain. The longer you fast, the more fat you'll burn. It is recommended to start with a 12-hour fasting window, then work your way up to a 14 or 16-hour window.

Intermittent fasting has several benefits for your body:

- Alternate day fasting: Eat regularly for one day and restrict your calorie intake to 500 calories the next day.
- A weekly 24-hour fast: Fast for 24 hours one-day fo the week

We've added a very simple widget to start login your weight. When you log your weight, it now displays on the user profile in a beautiful graphic! In addition, every time you log your weight, you'll see it on your log section.

A shout out to everyone using Fasten to track intermittent fasting. We are thousands already!

We are working very hard to bring in AM/PM times rather than the 24Hr clock. Hang on tight. We're almost there.

Also working on functionality to pre-set your fasting week ahead of time so the app will become more pro-active rather than depend on you to start and end fasts. Don't worry, you'll have both options. In addition, we are working on a weight tracker so you can understand how fasting is helping with weight loss.

On our first week of the app, you guys have been amazing! We've received great feedback and we are pumped to continue to build onto this app.

Bug Fixing. We fixed a bug with the way we display "Time" throughout the app. Everything is now using the 24Hrs system.

NEW - Background colors. Some of you out there are starting to post screenshots of your completed fasts. We are all about making things look pretty. So we added a setting so you can customize the background of the app. Go to settings and tap the "App Themes" and choose your favorite background image or color.

Coming Soon:
- KETO ZONE. We'll be adding functionality for those of use mixing intermittent fasting and Keto Diets so you understand when you've entered the Ketosis state.

- MOOD CHECKING. While you are fasting we'll give you the opportunity to check-in and record your mood. Once the fast is completed we'll display your fast information along with the mood check-ins done during the fast.

Great App and Great Customer Service
I downloaded the app almost 2 weeks ago and last week decided to 2 not only is this a great app and helps me to keep on track but, I decided to try the 7 day free trial offer. Apparently, there was a glitch in the offer and I was billed by mistake. I emailed the support team and they were able to direct me on were to go for help. They were very kind and accommodating, highly recommend this app!

I enjoy the functions provided however it’s missing two major components. First, fasts can only be set in hours and cannot be edited mid-fast. Start time can be changed, but not end time without ending the fast and having to plug in the new timeframe or just waiting it out to go “over” your time (which means no end fast notification). Do-able, but not convenient. More importantly, you cannot set recurring fasts. I generally follow a 23 hour fast protocol daily and therefore would need to set a new custom fast each day. 23hrs doesn’t always happen hence the need for easy editing. It’s a beautiful app but I feel like an app that only manages fasting should have these basic features for ease of use.

Feeling amazing!
I did some research and found that many people are experiencing great results from fasting and I definitely wanted to give it a shot. I started doing the 12-hour fast and I feel better. For the health results I am looking for, I am to start doing the fasting 2 days a week. I think that everyone should try this method!

Since I got this app I have been so motivated to go longer with my fasting. Now I am logging 18 to 23 hrs on a regular basis . The timer is fantastic. When I click on start fasting . It feels that I made a commitment. I appreciate this app thanks 🙏🏼

Originally this app only kept in military time, I emailed the IT department and asked if it could changed within 10 seconds someone answered and said it’ll be done in the update 6 days later the App changed to better suit my needs, It was so subtle I barely noticed 👍🏼 , thank u for listening

Beautiful, simple and completely customizable.
I tried a couple apps- Zero, FastHabit- and Fasten is by far the best. The coolest thing about it is that if you forget to start your fast or enter your weight, you can adjust those times. And it even keeps track of what time you weighed yourself! Love it!

I been using Zero since I started IF which is 5 months ago (already lost 30 pounds) well zero wasn't bad but the app really really needs up upgrade! I'm thankful to find this upgraded version of fasting tracker!!! Thank you to who ever invented this app you guys are rockin👍🏼👏🏼😘!

Longer fast periods
I like this app except for the limited fasting periods. Can you allow for users to select periods longer than 48 hours?

Also, the timer is incorrect. It’s behind a few minutes. I would attribute this to the edit feature. While I was able to edit the start time to minutes before I started teaching, the elapsed time didn’t catch up.

I’ve been using the app for a short amount of time and I must say, so far so good. My only question is, how do the developers know when one will enter ketosis when there are so many factors that determine when an individual will enter ketosis? According to reports, one can enter ketosis in approximately 24 hours if they do a water fast

New update is a fail
UPDATE May 6, 2019
Not usable anymore unless I start logging the fast precisely when I start it.
I do not want this app running in the background. I want to be able to set the date and time I started, which might be earlier than 24 hrs previous to this moment.
They are really pushing the year subscription, and if you do the trial, be aware you must cancel 24 hrs BEFORE the trial is up.

I’m a newish user since Feb 1. I liked it, but this new update really went downhill. Now I can only go back 1 day to enter a fast I started previously. Before, we could go back as far as we wanted in time.
Also, the hours of the clock don’t scroll properly anymore. The numbers just disappear, and you have to cancel and start over.
Not pleased.
