AnonymousJediMe,
Great app, would love more features.
Love the app, great place to put ALL my books and TBRs and loans! I just think it should have a browsing section where you can see what everyone is recommending in each genre. As it is now, I find it hard to go person-to-person looking for books to put on my To Be Read list

Love the idea, and I’m excited to see how it grows
I’m really into the idea of this app. The design is minimalist and very pretty — I especially love the face-out bookshelf as a user’s profile. I can see it getting a little unwieldy as people add more books, but for now it’s lovely. My main suggestions are: more genres and ability to see reviews on a book’s details page. I would love to see the addition of genres that I use heavily, especially YA, LBGT/queer, and comics/graphic novels. As far as I can tell, scrolling through users who have marked a genre a favorite of theirs is the main way to find other users to follow, so it would be great to see this fleshed out, with more specificity there. In a similar vein, on goodreads I often find people to follow based on reviews I really like that they’ve written of specific books, so it would be cool if you could see “top” or all reviews for a book and follow a user from there.

I’m looking forward to seeing how this app grows! I think it has a lot of potential.

Missing one piece
I think this app has a great concept and I am enjoying the reviews. The one aspect I think is missing is the ability to save reviews. That way when someone recommends a book that sounds interesting to me I can star it or add it to a tbr shelf to find later. I am lazy and don’t want to have to open my goodreads app and find the book there. Other than that, I am enjoying my experience with Inky so far!
Woody Battle,
Great app for sharing love of books.
Easy to use. 500 character limit forces you to think about what makes this book special. Use of hashtags make it easier to find books that interest you. Minor nit: current version crashes when you try to add hashtags to your reviews.
Opalsbookjems,
I’m exciting!
I am falling for this app the more I use it. It’s very easy to add/search for books to your review or to read shelves and the concept pretty much has me sold. It’s way easier to find a specific persons review on here than having to search for their review on any other platform.

Great app
Love the idea!! I’m definitely going to start using this app regularly to keep track of how many books I read each year. One suggestion though! You should make it easier to find people to follow. Also, adding the ability to message other users or comment on reviews would be a good next step

This Bookworm Loves Inky!
I love how easy the app is to use. I also like the look of the bookshelves as the covers help me remember books. I love all of the new features that the developers have added such as searching, tags, and commenting. Thanks for all you do to help us bookworms! 📚🐛

Could be better
There’s really not a lot to the app. If you don’t really like to write reviews, this probably isn’t the book app for you. It’s basically just a way to catalogue the books you’ve read, which I feel like other apps (Libib, Litsy, Goodreads) has done better. Being one of those people who doesn’t like to write reviews, and with no actual rating system in the app, I haven’t found much of an actual purpose for it. And, to be completely honest, the design is kind of boring.

1000x better than Goodreads
Its simple, fun and allows for users to better share books with one another. If you use Goodreads, make the switch now and it will forever change your life.
Ink Runner,
We can make this amazing
The moment I read about this app in a news article, I immediately opened the App Store to downloaded. I’ve been waiting and hoping for something like Inky, and now it’s a reality. How exciting that I get to be a part of it at the beginning! I know that if it continues to be polished and expanded, Inky could become unstoppable.
Speaking of polish, I have a lot of grace for the current state of the app, but I would like to see:

• In-depth comments/reviews, preferably with thread and voting qualities (a la Reddit)
• Contact and/or location integration (“follow friends” and “people around you”)
• A “discover books” or “people who liked _____ also like ______” feature
• ways to organize and label the presentation of your recommended books shelf
• More streamlined book search, in which you choose which shelf to add it to *after* you’ve searched for it, not before
• Sending book recommendations (and messages) to specific people
• Seeing users who like, have read, or are interested in a book you’ve saved
• Official accounts for genres, publishers, and authors

Of course, I recognize that much of these things will come in time, and that’s okay because I will wait for them forever if I have to. Why? Because I love the idea behind this app. See, finding another book that’s perfect for you is hard, but using Inky is not; and where others may have tackled this problem with advanced categorization/comparison algorithms, Inky simply connects you to other readers, and that’s pretty neat in my book(shelf).
