Like London buses, you wait around forever for one and then two come along in quick succession. That's right, this is a second Fight Scores update in a week! To recap, the previous version introduced the ability to specify weight classes for scheduled, classic, custom, and even existing scorecards. That's great eh? What was less great was that it also introduced a minor text alignment issue when both weight class and rematch labels were visible. So this update goes ahead and squashes that bug.

In the immortal words of Petey Pablo, did you miss me? Yes, Fight Scores is back with it's first update in nearly a year. I apologise for taking so long in between releases and hope to regain a regular cadence going forward. This release is partially about updating the infrastructure to get back to cutting edge, however there is one new feature that has long been requested.

• Adding weight classes to fights

Now you can specify the weight class that a fight is taking part in. All classic fights, and fights that appear on the upcoming schedule will automatically have their weight class specified so you wont have to do a thing.

Hi everyone! It gives me great pleasure to announce that this release introduces an official way to distinguish a rematch from the original fight.

Now, when creating or editing a custom scorecard, you can easily specify whether it's the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th meeting between these two combatants. All 'scheduled' and 'classic' fights have been updated to include these values.

*15 round fights*
By far the most requested feature by users of Fight Scores has been the ability to score 15 round fights. I’m excited to say that this release now makes that possible. This frees each of you to quit your jobs and spend your days scoring all the classic Ali, Marciano, Hagler, Hearns, Duran, Leonard fights that your heart desires.

After a short time (30 seconds?) of testing 15 round fights myself, I realized that hitting the previous year button 50+ times when specifying a fight date in the 1950s wasn’t as much fun as you might think. For this reason I’ve added a button to allow you to jump forwards or backwards 10 years at a time.

*Scorecard behavior*
Previously, when you switched away from Fight Scores, the scorecard screen would disappear without saving your changes. This was not the greatest experience. I’ve made some changes to ensure that the scorecard now remains the active screen even after you temporarily leave the app.

As always I’d like to thank you for using Fight Scores. It’s very exciting to be bringing such requested features to the app and I hope it improves your experience considerably.

If you have any other feature requests or would like to report a bug, please contact me at [email protected] or @fightscoresapp on Twitter.

If you enjoy using this app please consider leaving a review on the App Store. Thanks!

Awesome
Works great for scoring fights with a good selection of classic fights dating back to 1910 my only complaint is a bug in custom fights when you try to mark the fight as a rematch or trilogy you can’t create the fight im sure if you go into the app and try it you will see what i’m talking about other than that app is 5 stars very easy to use👍👍
Smush88,
The best scorecard app
This is hands down the best boxing scorecard app out here and I’ve tried most of them. Easy to search old scores, add notes and score round by round. I love how all your fights are sorted by date and it’s awesome for boxing nerds who want to keep a record of their cards. The developer is super responsive too if you have any questions or issues.

The one negative I’d say is that it only works if you have cell service-wifi as the data isn’t stored on your phone and once in awhile the server the app is on will go down and you can’t access your old scores (which can be scary) and create new ones. But the developer is very communicative during those times and usually gets things back up and running quickly.

The best boxing scorecard app!
This is by far the best of the boxing scoring apps I’ve tried. It allows you to record official result and has a notepad to make notes. Keeps an archive both on the app and on the website. Has most fight cards already built in but it’s very easy to add your own cards for more obscure fights. Admin very responsive too.

Good in comparison
This app is better than the other scoring apps available, but is not good if you compare to other apps you would use day-to-day. For instance buttons may appear half off the screen and some text is not readable due to dark colours or is misspelled.

You can only select fights which are scheduled for today which seems strange; there needs to be a feature to view all upcoming and past fights.
Lex💜,
Good way to keep track of fights
Best score app. It saves all the fights you score. You can have fight notes. It also lets you record final results. Also gives you a up to date schedule of major fights that are coming up that week.
SkipRoads,
The best
Best app available for scoring boxing. Love the addition of classic fights. Notes section for jotting down stuff. Big fights are all ready to go when you open the app. Must have for fight fans.
DatBoi29,
I like
Very nice and smooth scoring app. Definitely the best I've used
Atlantic Greybeard,
Working?
I just downloaded this, signed up for an account, and have added one or more fights multiple times, each time receiving a notification that they’ve been added successfully, yet the Upcoming tab remains blank. Not sure latest version works at all.
Killwill056,

Love this app. No frills or empty calories. Just a really good overall app. Great job
