This app has been updated by Apple to display the Apple Watch app icon.

We got rid of the gradients on the top and bottom bars so you fine chaps can see and edit your photos without any obstructions. You’re welcome.

Ya know that thing where you go to submit a big app update and you slave over making sure everything’s totally perfect where every i is dotted and every t is crossed but when you submit it to the App Store you actually upload the wrong version which still has a bunch of bugs and even the wrong app icon but when you come to this realization the app is already live to the public and there’s not much you can do except feel a little despondent because your parade got rained on just a bit?

Yeah, that.

Just in time for the newest crop of iPads, we’ve made Filters universal so you can now use it on all of your iOS devices and have it feel right at home on each and every one of them. If you’re into that multitasking sort of thing, Filters fully supports Split View. Yeah, we jump through tiny hoops because we love you.

To make Filters even more accessible, we’ve added a Photos editing extension. So you can now edit your Photos using Filters right from within the Photos app. To enable the Photos editing extension, you get to jump through a hoop (or five) yourself:

1. open the Photos App
2. select a photo and tap the “Edit” button
3. tap the (・・・) button to display more editing tools
4. swipe all the way to the right and tap the “More” button
5. switch on Filters as a photo editor

If you’ve got an iPhone 6s or 6s Plus, you can use a 3D Touch Quick Action to quickly edit the last photo you’ve taken in Filters.

In addition to being able to remove all edits to a photo, we’ve added a new function where you can undo your last edit.

We’ve made a few little user interface improvements… like adding titles to the popup palettes to take a bit of the guesswork out of finding just the right filter for the job, and we’ve added a dash of pizzazz to the editing sliders.

And fitting for a big update is another mod to the app icon… which makes Filters feel even more at home in our ever expanding lineup of dark, rainbow-y app icons.

Lastly, we’ve squooshed a bunch of ornery bugs and fiddled with a few bits to increase the performance and responsiveness of the app.

• we’ve unified the sharing functionality so that all the things you’d want to do to your Filtered photos can be accessed from one handy place
• you’re now able to send photos from your favorite apps to Filters
• you can now send your Filtered photos directly to Camera+
• live sliders!
• and last but not least, there’s a shiny new icon that still has the look and feel of the original Filters icon but fits right in with all of our other app icons

Eric Shofe,
No Brainer
I saw this in the sale section of the App Store featuring and figured why not. I've been wanting more options for my pics without having to open photoshop. I was instantly happy with the overwhelming assortment of editable effects. And it's only 1$. You really can't go wrong. Great app, thanks to the developers.
magsnanna2012,
Great app
This is a wonderful app with a very large amount of filters and easy to edit! More people should know about this app! ADVERTISE!!! High recommend!!!!! My go to for a vintage look!!!
DeniseNV,
Beautiful Images BUT...
I loved this app until recently. I have been unable to save or share photos. During the last few months it freezes up every time I try to save or share my edited photos. It is incredibly frustrating!
brittkittymckean,
Love it!
I love this app. It's easy to manage, you get a large amount of filters, manual adjustments and easy to use.
Davebtwo,
Freezes when sending or saving. I wasted $.
App is ok unless one wants to send or save the photo by text, mail or to the Camera Roll.
At this point the app freezes.
I had to open another photo app then return to filters to adjust a photo again.
What good is the app if after adding a filter one is unable to use the photo?
Phreephorm,
Lots of variety
As a photographer I like having plenty of variety in filters, especially
iam4him,
A no=brainer… get it!
If you think you’re a great iphoneographer that’s great…. but you have to see the level this app will put you. I bought it and figured I’d try it out really fast and move on with my day. That was 2 hours ago because I was editing images I thought looked great “UNTIL” I got this app. Do yourself, friends, family and clients a favor and get this app and you will immediately raise yourself to the next level!

Disappointed
REVIEW 2:: OKAY I PURCHASED THIS APP 2 Months ago I STILL CAN NOT USE IT BECAUSE THE ENTIRE TIP OF THE SCREEN IS DARK AND COMPLETELY BLACKS OUT WHATEVER PHOTO I USE. WILL YOU PLEASE PLEASE FIX THE APP SO I AM ABLE TO USE THE APP I PURCHASED !!!!!!!!! ALSO SO YOU KNOW I HAVE PURCHASED 2 OF YOUR OTHER PAID APPS AS WELL!

REVIEW 1::It might be halfway decent if the top half of the screen was like a black screen I can only see the bottom half of the picture I should have listened to the other user who had the same issue a while ago but I thought since I am running the most up to date ios9.3 I phone 6s I may not have that issue and or I figured since there were known issues of this with others that within the year of it being brought up the developer would have fixed it by now . So disappointed with the photo editors I have purchased lately none of them seem to be what they are supposed and the reviews are very misguiding Honestly the photo editors I have that are free are much better , Yes there are lots of filters but if you pay close attention to each package they all look the SAME ! You could change the contrast and saturation yourself and do a better job with the editor that comes with the phone . So very disappointed . I'll stick with Pixlr and Filtera Much much better and higher quality Waste of money ....
Time Squire-in-Training,
••• iOS 8.3.1 updated to Filters version 3.
Running iOS 8.3.1. App updated to Filters version 3. Apparently not able to update to the proper, bug-fixed version 3.0.1 update of the app now, because 3.0.1 requires iOS 9. Others in the same boat! Dear developer, please remember, if you haven’t already, to appropriately remove the previous version 3 from the store if you don’t think folks on versions of iOS before iOS 9 ought to be downloading and running it, either after initial purchase, or upon _re-install._ Thanks much! ; )
Factory_boy,
Has great potential.
Live preview of effects is a refreshing change. BUT it desperately needs an "undo last step button". Currently only has a reset button. Also light leaks and color overlays would benefit from the ability to rotate and flip their direction. Filters, light leaks, and color overlays would also benefit from blend mode settings which are found in most major filter apps. Until these features are added, I will continue using Pixlr Express as my default program.
