Final Fantasy fan for life!
I don’t write reviews, but I will for this game. I started it a few days after it came out and getting in early on these games is important. If you’re a fan of Final Fantasy (especially FF15) you should pick this up. If you’ve ever played these types of games, they have a pay to win element to them, but you also don’t have to spend a dime if you don’t want to. You will level slower than someone spending $$$ and you’ll also not have access to some heroes and cosmetic things. But even with that, you still have access to A LOT of things. Noctis, Gladio, Prompto, and Ignis are all free to play with and leveling them up is fun but Grindy. Also, if you don’t join an active and helpful guild, it’s not as fun and captivating. My guild is awesome and so helpful and active. We are ranked 30th on our server. Anyways, this game is tons of fun and I recommend it. The battle system is good, you have access to limit breaks and items from FF like Phoenix downs, potions, etc. They haven’t added everything yet, so I’m excited to see where the game goes in the future. Thanks developers for this little gem of a game!

Terrific Game
This game is great! There’s always something to do and even though there is a lot you *can* buy, I’m having fun just playing for free. It doesn’t feel like you have to pay to have fun or to get lots of stuff for your kingdom. The text is really small on an iPhone X. I wish there was a scaling option. I also haven’t found a way to link my game I started on my phone with my iPad. A bigger screen would be so nice at the house and then to be able to play wherever on my phone with a connection between the two. There are a lot of menus and it can be tough to find stuff sometimes but I guess that’s the price you pay with a complex game like this. All in all, I’m loving it!

I'd love to say it's amazing... But it still quite early just yet... I've been a FF fan for some time now... But I've seen the good, the the okay, and then the word horrible isn't even sufficient on the platform I've spent 4 years and more$'s then I'd prefer not even think about myself.
So far things are flowing beautifully. I love the graphics, the chances in some features you dunt see in the previous version. I'll reserve full 5 stars until I've seen how you folks do keeping the game actually runny adequately, events beginning as shown in the weekly blog as described in the blog. Let most of all see if your support ACTUALLY provide a functionality for which they are paid. Lol.... If they're just like the bag of idiots collecting a check to literally tell you literally stupid crap that's almost comical... Pay me instead.
However time will be the only real tell all. Good start so far though.... That's all can say currently with complete honesty right now.

Laggy and less features than similar games
There are better similar games already out there. Lack of some features like guild technology and no ranking rewards below top 100 players along with low event rewards overall make it impossible for any f2p players to stay competitive or keep up. Instead, you find whales killing a whole server when there are not any kill events even running due to massive difference in power. Game also has these constant on screen notifications that get in the way for every time you request guild help on timers, confirmation that help was requested for each timer, and each time a player sends you help for each separate timer request… it’s too much and it’s constantly in the way of what I’m trying to click or see/read. There’s no way to get rid of them either.
TLDR: Honestly not worth your money if you like to drop $ in these games due to lagging and lack of features. And if you don’t spend money, don’t expect to be able to keep up with growth for the server based on strategy or events.

The Game Deserves a Zero Rating
If you look, you will see that I previously rated the game 5 🌟. All that I did then remains true. What has changed is the attitude of the company’s management. I have played in several realms and in multiple similar games and this game has gone the way of Game of War, if you are willingly to drop $1K do not bother playing.
I play daily and can spend several hours doing so. I have been looking for a new realm to begin and checking multiple times each day for a new one. I found one and upon joining the top player has over 27M power and everyone the top 100 has multiple millions in power. Either hundreds of players jumped on the realm ready to spend hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars or this “new” is not new and misleads players.
The company is practicing deception and is taking advantage of players. I encourage players to be discriminating about your game choices and parents to be vigilant about the nature of the games, and the companies, that their children are playing.

Good story and I like how true it is to the Final Fantasy universe but it needs work.
1. It takes about 9-10 clicks to get in and out of selecting research. That’s 4-5 too many. Can’t request help for research until you are exited out of the university. That’s a toonnnn of tapping when you are doing beginning research that takes 1:30 (shorter with alliance helps)
2. Can’t equalize marches with one tap
3. The buttons that hover above buildings are too “busy.” There’s a spinning circle around each one and it just makes it feel overwhelming when you first log in.
4. Hammerhead Garage is level 1, but there doesn’t seem to be a way to upgrade it. Ami I missing something?
5. Whoever designed the animation after donating to guild research should be formally reprimanded. It’s bright, flashy, and fills my screen about 100 times a day. Completely unnecessary. I also don’t need laggy banner notifications for every successful guild research donation (for the uninitiated, you usually do 25 at a time so that’s 25 banner notifications).
I’m sure there are other UI things that bother me but I’m forgetting. As for bugs, I’ve had to close the app and restart multiple times to make them go away. One recurring one is I get a message my troops are still training but the countdown is stuck on 00:00.

It’s good BUT
I like this game I’m old not high tech but it’s fun to a degree. At first there is a lot of building and it goes fast then it gets slower and you may need to spend money to progress faster. Then the leveling up you hero’s is not easy at all it takes time and again money lots of money if you want to compete with the big guilds in which you can’t because they have spent BIG money to get there. The one thing is if you are in a good guild you will make friends and you laugh. So I’ll stick with it but I can’t pay the big money I’m retired on a fixed income. But again it’s a good game. I played thee very first FF game. Lol

Final fantasy used to be unique. This blends in with all the others. It’s not the genre that bothers me. It’s the fact that final fantasy was all about going out in an open world and exploring. Manually fighting your own battles and using strategy to win. I cant say that’s possible with this game. I know some developers put in a lot of hard work for this game but I just think that there should be a more original approach to the platform as I’ve seen this game model before. Don’t call it Final Fantasy come up with something original. If you want to go to Final Fantasy route then I think you can only get away with a tactics style game in which case players would still like more control over the characters.

Game as a whole
So far I’m at level 13 no money spent yet but I don’t think I have to but I do have to say it’s very pay to win even in the new servers not even a few days in and we have people at level 26 but this is not the reason I’m putting 4 stars as a whole it’s a 4 star to me because it’s missing some stuff in here like traps, when you kill npcs none drop speed ups, etc it’s still a great game I’d like to see where the devs go in the future with events and possibly more hero’s from other final fantasy games!

Buggy Game, Toxic Players
To be fair, I have enjoyed this game. The art, the new voice lines were an utter delight. But now that the novelty is wearing off, the flaws are becoming more grating. In an active guild, the notifications fly in so quickly it’s easy to click on them unintentionally. Secondly, there’s a chance a panel will freeze open and remain up no matter what you click on for navigation. Just navigating around the map can result in the whole game crashing. Then there’s the almost constant sexist, racist, and homophobic comments in R37 realm chat. It’s like the Barrens chat all over again but, here, I can’t turn it off or avoid the zone. Reporting doesn’t help. Way too much drama and bigotry for a silly mobile game.
