I love this product!
I took a solo trip down the east coast and created this private digital space to log my travels. I invited people to follow along every step of the watt. They couldn’t wait to see my daily entries. The one evening I didn’t post I received calls checking to make sure I was ok. I now have pictures and details of the entire trip. I also ordered the book. It is absolutely amazing. The attention to quality and detail has created a life long treasure. I love this app and also the book they created for me. I highly recommend you log your next trip with us app. It is really special. I only wish I could attach a quick video of my book so you could see it!

Love the journaling aspects
I love how easy it is to add photos from any photo folder on my iPhone and the interactive map. We haven’t tried the printed books yet, but it sounds amazing.
Our family and friends have found it hard to see our travel log and the settings can be a little confusing so we only have one family follower who has been able to figure it out, so we keep a separate shared iCloud folder for everyone else. We also had a friend who was added to someone else’s trip (mistakenly) and because we followed her there was no way to unfollow that particular random person’s trip to Germany 🤪… so that was frustrating for a bit. Otherwise it’s great!
I especially like that I can add photos as a draft even when we have a poor signal and add text and upload them later. ❤️

Awesome Travel App
I am a first time user of the Find Penguins app, using it to document my transatlantic crossing. This app does a great job of helping you time-stamp and memorialize waypoints along your journey. I wish I could post more than six pictures at each “footprint”, but the premium product does that (and more) for a cost. The standard version has a position tracker, which automatically geolocates you! I have not found this to be the big power-drain others have complained about. It would be really great if it allowed me to post my footprints on Instagram (hint hint) as it does for Twitter and Facebook users. This app is very intuitive and easy to use, I think you might like it too.

Very happy - and I researched a lot!
From all the travel journals I downloaded and tested this has to be my favorite. It does have basics you can use for free but even the yearly cost to upgrade it is not expensive. (I upgraded!)
Play with and set up ahead of time and invite all your friends to watch. I look forward to the book we will make at the end of our travels.
One request: maybe I haven’t found it but is there a way to organize your journal entries? All I see is oldest or newest first. I’d love to customize my entries to the times they were taken.

Great, but could be better
I used Find Penguins to record a recent trip to Central America. It excels at capturing details from photos and allowing you to quickly capture “footprints” along your journey.
I shared the link with family and friends and they were able to keep up with our journey.
It is supposed to capture waypoints along the way so that you can look back and recall places you’ve visited on a map. For the most part this works really well, but still seems a little buggy.
When I returned home, I was prompted to turn off automatic waypoint recording, which I did. About a week later I opened the app and realized it had continued running and my map now included a lot of extra waypoints.
I also noticed the map drew my return flight home as though I flew directly home, rather than through a connecting airport.
Those points aside, this is a really great way to quickly capture details about your trip.

Trying to upload photos from external drive
So far; I haven’t been able to upload photos from google or external hard drive to create past trips. I’m disappointed by that. Hopefully someone has advice or help. Without that feature, I wouldn’t see upgrading to pay for premium. I have photos from a camera I would like to use. 😕

Easy App for busy traveler
First time user. Very intuitive. I liked I could start a footprint to get the location and finish later even if I had left the location. Making adjustments to my moves from place to place was messy and I gave up on it. I look forward to printing a book and seeing how it comes out. 😀

Needs better support
This app is far from intuitive. You can figure it out but it takes some doing to understand the flow. Trying to find how this thing works is time consuming and frustrating at times. The interface is quite beautiful and the functions are commendable but the app should be a no-brainer. I look forward to the team updating their support and maybe a how-to walk-through will show up along the development timeline.

Solid idea and good UX but constantly crashing
This is a solid app for recording travels. It’s auto tracking function works well and isn’t a battery hog. The interface is solid and easy to use.
My main complaint is that when writing drafts on an iPad, it crashes on approximately 50% of my posts which is very frustrating and enough to put one off the app.
