Description

FirearmSafe is the original app for responsible firearm owners who want to safely store information about their guns, ammo, accessories and more.

**************************************************************************************
IMPORTANT: Your data stored in FirearmSafe is never transmitted off of your device without your consent. The data you enter is stored inside a database on your device. There is no way for your data to automatically leave the device and no internet connection is needed to use FirearmSafe.
**************************************************************************************

All firearm owners should safely store important information (serial numbers, descriptions, value, etc) about their firearms and accessories in the unlikely event of theft or destruction. As an owner of firearms, you are responsible for reporting if your guns are stolen. Would you have all that information readily available? With FirearmSafe you will.

FirearmSafe lets you easily record all that important information in one place and secure it with a PIN. You can even use your fingerprint (TouchID) or face (FaceID) to unlock your device (if supported).

Additionally, you can store information about your ammo inventory, accessories, knives, and your visits to the shooting range. Ammo inventories are even updated as you record their usage at the range. And visual alerts let you know of a firearm that needs to be cleaned.

** To open the safe, touch the keypad on the safe door. **

- Lock FirearmSafe with a PIN code.
- FaceID and TouchID support.
- Data is stored securely on your device.
- Add information and photos for your firearms, accessories, ammo, knives and range visits and more.
- Automatically updates your ammo supply when you record a range visit to compensate for the ammo used.
- Stores reloaded ammo information
- Record your reloaded ammo results including the conditions at the range.
- Visual reminders of overdue firearm cleaning.
- Range/Gun Shop locator map.
- Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) Permit Storage.
- Produce PDF Reports of your data.
- Export your data and import into your other device(s).
- Designate firearms and accessories as sold.

I am sincerely sorry for removing the functionality. It will return.

Emergency Data Bug Fix.

I sincerely apologize, the previous version that contained a bug which caused dates to be saved in an incorrect format. This bad dates then caused a failure to load data into the list of firearms, and similar screens. This fix will remove any bad dates that were saved. Unfortunately this means that any records that you created new or edited (and has a date associated with it) will have their dates cleared out. This is the only way to handle the problem quickly. Hopefully his will not impact most people, but I am very sorry for the problem.

Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns. Thanks.

Note: With any update, if there are changes to the import or export process, please create a new export from your primary device before trying to import to a secondary device. - Fixed an issue which allowed ammo records to be saved without the required Name, Caliber and Type fields.

- Added membership information to add range screen.

Enhancements:
- Resize Images setting. If turned on, images saved to a firearm, ammo, range, or accessory record will resize the image to a smaller version. This is done to make dropbox sync much quicker. If you already have images added and you turn on the Resize Images setting, the next export will resize all images as they are sent to dropbox. Any following import will then load the smaller versions.
- Added "Ammo Type" to duplicate ammo check.
- Added text to how to bypass message if saving duplicate brand, name, caliber and type of ammo.
- Added Muzzle Velocity Field
- Added Chamber Length Field
- Added different measurement unit to label for powder charge.
- Added different measurement unit to label for projectile weight.
- Added Shot Size.
- Formatting changes to settings list.
- Formatting changes to tools list.
- Moved dropbox import/export to tools screen.
- Using unified 32/64-bit API. (Will run in 64-bit mode on capable iDevices.)
- Sort by serial number in firearm list views.
- Total accessory cost listed on firearm page.
- Total purchase cost of logged purchased ammo on ammo by caliber screen and each ammo caliber list screen.
- Total on hand cost of logged purchased ammo on ammo by caliber screen and each ammo caliber list screen.

Bug Fixes:
- Fix to range/store locator map crash.
- Fix to not being able to export to dropbox a second time in a row.
- Fix to not allow TouchID to be turned on without first setting a PIN code.
- Fix to ammo cost calculations.

BillyChildress,
Overall good, but…
Overall it is a good app, but it needs a few things. I need the ability to edit the photos, which as of right now, cannot be done. I’ve added a couple accessories to a few of my pistols and rifles and cannot change the photos. So my insurance would not be able to confirm that I added a $500 RMR to a pistol, or a $1000 optic to my AR-10. That would change how much I got reimbursed. That’s not good. Definitely needs to change. Also, while editing or adding something, if the phone closes before you save, you loose all info. So don’t set you phone down to do anything without saving first. It should at least give you five minutes or so before loosing all changes. I’m still not sure why I can’t add the prices or details of accessories even though it says accessories and has a place for price. Still scratching my head on that one. Other than that, it’s a great app.
ibHOSS,
Almost perfect
Been searching and thought I found the perfect app for my collection. If only the IPad app would rotate to landscape and you could have more than 4 photos of each gun. Just needs these 2 updates to be perfect!!!
Joe_58,
Very nice firearm database
Well executed app with options for firearms, accessories, cleaning alerts, plus much more.

I’ve tried the other apps for my needs, but none are as full featured. I also like that you can add other makers that may not be in the extensive included database.

My one concern is that the app hasn’t been updated for awhile, so I’m not positive how involved the developer is in maintaining the app. I really hope it doesn’t end up fading away by not keeping up with iOS updates, etc.
YeahThatGuy80,
Great app and a must have for firearms owners
This app is ideal for firearms owners if at the bare minimum you just use it to store the make, model, and serial numbers of your firearms. It is so important to keep a record of your firearms serial numbers in case of theft or loss. However if you are serious about collecting firearms and shooting frequently this app has so many great features to keep track of everything you could hope for.
To the developer thank you for filling all my needs.
Dan - Upstate NY,
I use it every time I shoot
I used to track my firearms usage and inventory on a variety of notebooks and spreadsheets. This app has solved that problem. Bob, the developer, is a good communicator and answered a query of mine pretty promptly.

I just backed up all of my stuff in both one drive and Dropbox and it worked great. My favorite part of the backup is that it is editable, if you are so inclined.

Great app!
PaulRH63,
What a great APP, But...
Great app. I've had this app for many years now. Many great changes and updates to app since I got it.

Getting the sync to work was a little difficult on the iPhone. iPad light right in. iPhone not so much but I finally got.

I haven’t used it in awhile, so I have to insert a couple firearms and some ammo to the app and see how the sync goes.
Mojavegreen1,
Bug alert
I like this app., however it developed an annoying issue. When I go to place the date on anything, it rolls from the date I want back to april. I can only select the first four months. The rest are shaded out and will roll back to april. Aside from that very annoying issue, the app is pretty good. Ill give it 5 stars once this issue is resolved. Recommend allowing people to simply type all the data vice using those tumblers.
Slickreview,
Use this App! It’s amazing!
I was looking for an app out there to inventory ammo, firearms, knives and licenses. This app is the one to use! The developer is quick to respond to any issues and the app is easy, thorough and intuitive to use. Just save often! SAVE YOUR WORK OFTEN! That’s the only caveat.
Mcgrubbs,
Great idea but one issue
This app is a really cool idea. I do have one issue. I wish there was a way to save your pics, data, etc. I recently got a new iPhone and lost everything I had put in the app over the last 2yrs.
Bigdog7777,
Best out there
This is the very best of the niche this app fills. You won’t find one better and the developer seems to be consistently making improvements.
