FivePace is the most popular chess game among the folk in the middle of China, which combines the characters of both Go and Chess, but differs from them. It is simple to learn but not easy to master, extremely suiting for entertainment.
The first half of the five-pace game, the gameplay is similar to Go, with the aim of preparing for the fight.
In the second half of the five-pace game, the gameplay is similar to chinese-chess. You have to direct your pieces and eat the pieces of the opponent through the formation.
However, this game is very different from them. It is simpler than Go and Chess.
It doesn't have as many types of pieces as chinese-chess, and each has to follow different rules.
Nor is it like Go, playing a game of chess or even spending an afternoon.
It takes only a few minutes to play a five-pace game. The rules are not complicated. You can get started by watching the how-to-play.

Simple and addictive
The rules are pretty simple to learn, but the game is very nuanced. It's hard to stop playing once you've started, especially once you've won a few times, even on the EASY setting. A perfect puzzle game - simple and easy to learn, but challenging and entertaining to play.
(Don't worry about the Chinese characters in the game description. You don't need to speak or read Chinese; the instructions are in English.)
(Addendum... Game is still fun, but it froze. I wish I could recreate the conditions for the dev, but I was just playing and it froze. Even when I tried to close it reopened, still frozen. Odd.)
