"Flip: surfing colors" has three major changes and improvements in this update

love this game!!
I’ll preface this by saying I NEVER write reviews, unless a game is a huge scam. But, I’m making an exception for Flip. It’s kind of like an artistic version of Subway Surfers, but the controls are simpler and don’t make your thumbs hurt after two minutes. Although there aren’t a ton of worlds, each is unique and beautiful, and all of the characters are nicely designed. One thing I appreciate about the game is that you aren’t bombarded with ads; in fact, pretty much the only time you get ads is when you use a free “continue and watch a video.” The gems, while difficult to get, a) are possible to earn and b) are inexpensive if you don’t have enough patience. All in all, I would definitely recommend this game.

This is Great
Apple should start promoting more games like this. Seamless experience, manageable milestones, and best of all, minimal ads. Not to mention how pretty the game is. The developers clearly put a lot of time into this game and I feel like supporting them through in app purchases because they make it clear that it isn’t just a scheme to make as much as possible before people get tired of it and they release a new game.

Pushing in game purchases
Feels more like a demo for the full game. The gameplay itself is fun. You can only play on one track at the start, I beat it in about 3 try's. (the first track is the easiest after all) the only way to get more tracks is to buy them with real money or grind out playing the same first track over and over again. Until you've earned enough in game currency to buy another track witch scale up in difficulty and price. You can also try any of the other tracks one time after watching one ad. It really pushes you to buy the tracks instead of the very slow, very boring grind. The only other reason to replay a track is for the random collectables that spawn in whenever they choose. I like the gameplay but there isn't enough there. The slope is too steep (no pun intended) and unbalanced towards pay to play.

Great improvements but I liked the old one better
This game is SO MUCH FUN, it’s a game that I play when I get bored and it never disappoints, until now. When the “season 2” came out, two things happened that I’m not enjoying.
1. The new way to move, I liked the old way better, maybe you could add the option to have the old way of moving (touch the right and left sides of the screen) and the new one (dragging your finger across the screen).
2. I don’t like how your HP drops while you’re playing, I liked the three lives better.

New update
I absolutely love how the ramps are back, but the slow of the surfboard is not that smooth when I’m gliding my fingers, it’s like there’s a resistance to the board. Also, the ramps rarely occur which is annoying and makes the game boring because I can’t do as much flips as I could in the first version of this game. It used to be hard to get onto the sides of the rail but now, the avatar has the ability to ride along without falling, which I think is a feature that makes to game TOO easy. Also, the avatar cannot fall of the ramp, which makes it even easier. The difficulty level and the amount of time the ramps get are why I am rating this game 2 stars out of 5.

Miss Old Features
I downloaded this game a while back and just recently got playing it again. While I would give it 5 starts I do have to say I miss it’s old features and gameplay. The ramps, the clusters that made you change color, and just the overall simplicity of it. While I think the trees and penguins are a nice thought, I prefer the games original design. I miss it and hope that you’ll bring them back! Please read this and take into consideration what Im saying. It’s a lovely game just wish it could be as it used to.

Hey! Just to start things off I adore this game! It's a lot of fun and I was looking for something just like it. But now's my question. What music is used on level 5 (Venice)? I could swear I've heard it before somewhere on something by Rooster Teeth and it's going to drive me crazy if I can't remember what it is, does anybody know?

Broken challenge system
I like the gameplay and the art and music and all but what really ruined it for me was that every time I went to Finnish a challenge it would stop me. There's one where I had to "Hit 10 colored blocks" and I was like "okay, easy enough." And literally every time I tried to do it it would not work. I completed the challenge over 20 times sometimes even in different ways to see if I was doing it wrong. But every time was wrong. Until I eventually gave up and deleted the broken game.

Beautiful and Fun!
I love the colors and different levels' themes based on famous worldly locations. It could use improvement, but I can't wait to see what is to come! I'd love to see more snowboard options, as well as different characters down the line! Hope this game goes far :)

Okay I don’t normally write reviews but whatever. So I had this game for a while but got rid of it for some forgotten reason, and when I re-downloaded it the game totally left me hanging. I remember this being an incredible game but with the new controls it just felt gross. It lost all of its smoothness and artfulness. I remember how cool it was to be able to surf to the other side and to a flip, but now it’s so violent and sloppy it makes me hate it. CHANGE THE CONTROLS.
