Adorable game and an effective app
I very much love this game. It’s so adorable and it excites me to know what other species of each realm I have unlocked. I personally love this game a lot because it revolves around gardening; I garden myself and I try to learn more about it. The game itself is self-explanatory for the most part. The game itself is manageable without any in-app purchases in my opinion. I have no particular issue with app thus far. I can’t wait for the upcoming updates for this app although. I’m not sure if the 3rd stage evolution of the plants is a secret that must be figured out or if it just hasn’t been patched in yet. I’d like to get insight on that to be honest. Overall, great app that has adorable characters/plants/atmosphere.
In regards to its effectiveness as a focus app, I’d say it does a great job. I honestly have a phone addiction and I’d spend hours on my phone watching YouTube/Netflix, scrolling through social media, and so on. Even with the app limits that Apple implemented, I still find myself bargaining with myself to add more time to these apps. I consciously know that I’m doing it, yet I can’t get myself out of that habit quite yet. The basic function of the app which is focusing for durations of time to earn more water to grow and to plant new plants has helped me reducing my screen time and focus on my coursework for college. I’m so grateful to have come across this app and the developers who created it.

The many plants and levels you can unlock keeps this game going for me. Bonus—everything in this game is so adorable and the animation is joyful and nice to look at.
Also, THANK YOU for not making this app so ad heavy like other apps can be! The only way you need to watch ads is if you want bonus rewards which is a pretty good incentive because I always want extra rewards to grow my plants and buy more things from the store 🙂

This app is somewhat effective, I suppose. However, exiting out of the app cancels the timer, and it wants to you to not turn your phone off at all, claiming that flipping your phone over saves more battery than turning it off. It still gives you rewards if you quit halfway through, which seems counterproductive to me.
On strict mode, it doesn’t allow you to go into apps; which is fine, accept that it completely restricts your ability to go into apps at all. You also have to use suns in order to put apps on a whitelist.
When I told it not to send me notifications, it responded with “Are you sure you don’t need a little reminder to stay off?” Which just makes me personally very uncomfortable.
It’s a fine app in regards to focusing, I suppose. However, certain things (like the ones I mentioned) make me feel as if there’s more going on in the background, and most definitely does not make me feel like my phone is safe. It seems like they’re trying to mine your data.

Cute and useful but too easy
This is a great app, the plants are cute and it’s fun to unlock new ones. The timers are very helpful. My only problem is that it’s suuuuuper easy to get raindrops without focusing. There’s this whale that flies through the sky collecting raindrops and as you level up you get more and more from it so I end up spending more time playing with my plants and stuff which makes me spend more time on my phone. I wish that you had to work more for your raindrops, and that the app was a little bit simpler so it wouldn’t be so enticing to play. The whale defeats the whole purpose since I don’t need to focus at all to grow and tend to my plants. I wish there was at least an option to turn it off.
And there’s so much to do on the app, there’s a mini garden to unlock and gardener dinosaurs and other stuff which is really distracting and also defeats the purpose since I’m trying to stay off my phone. This app would be awesome without those.

Great concept but too many downfalls
I downloaded the app to be incentivized to stay off of my phone when I have tasks I need to complete. For that purpose it totally does the trick but there are other things I take issue with.
My biggest issue with the app is the ads. I don’t mind them as a whole because they are necessary for the app to make money and run. However, I am constantly being shown ads upon entering the app-even multiple on occasion. On the other hand I try to watch ads when given the chance for extra boosts in the game and they are never available. Why am I constantly being shown ads (that do nothing for me) but am not able to watch ads when I choose to?
With several other apps that offer almost the same thing (and not an issue that affects the gameplay so much) I can’t see focus plant as an app worth having. Before you download look at other options because it’s a shame to have to delete and switch over.

Love!!
A wonderful app that keeps me busy in the summer! I’m on summer break currently, and this has been boosting my mood! You get to grow cute little plants and discover more and more as you progress! To progress you need raindrops, and for raindrops you need to get off the phone so it’s a great way to stay productive! You barely have to pay for anything, it’s mostly free to play. The only flaw I have is mostly a me problem. With the stopwatch it took me SOO long to figure out that to quit you need to SLIDE the quit button, not click. Maybe if you have time you guys could perhaps make it more clear you have to slide it? I’m a clueless person though, so you don’t have to make it a priority! Anyways, thanks! Love the app :)

Amazing! Some Suggestions
Amazing app that helps me focus, unlike all the others. What differentiates this app from the rest is that you get these “raindrop” and “sunshine” rewards at the end of sessions that you can plant trees for later, purchase new land, grow your plants, and purchase new things like Land BGM and white noise. Personally that is really helpful because other apps have trees growing while you are focusing which always discourages me and makes me want to watch the tree grow lol, so this app is just more fun for my dopamine brain I guess. the art style overall is super cute too. Here are my suggestions:
— multiplayer mode with friends where they can study at the SAME time for extra motivation and more fun overall.
— would be really nice to corporate that feature into Groups, where also maybe the “desert” can be more graphic I think! it would be more fun in groups to have a more nicer desert maybe like the one individual players have but much larger and requires group effort.
— can we please see the gardeners working around it would be really nice
— analysis! even if you make this feature paid for, I wouldn’t mind. analysis and progress tracking would be great for such a nice app already.

Cute game, not good for focusing
You can basically play through the game with the raindrops that the game gives you— the chests and the whale award you with way too many raindrops, so many so to the point that you basically never have to focus to get raindrops, because there’s always an abundance of them, effectively nullifying the entire point of it as a focusing app. My suggestions would be to maybe have an option for people to deactivate the whale if they want to? Because for me, I definitely don’t want the whale. I go to do something— like eat dinner— and I come back and the whale has basically done all the work for me, again, defeating the purpose of the entire game as a focusing app. Another thing is the wait times. Why do the plants nap? You should be trying to waste all of your raindrops on your plants at one time so that you can actually focus to get more— the napping gets in the way of spending your raindrops, again, defeating the purpose. Maybe the player should be able to deactivate that as well?

Just grateful
I never write reviews but not to do so on this app would be an act of ungratefulness. After downloading this app my productivity and concentration has skyrocketed. I use it not just for work but for moments in my day which I call “transitions”. You know, that little time pocket that occurs when you move from one task to another. Those five minutes that make or break your productivity, that’s when I’ve used the app. Since it locks my phone for five minutes I’m forced to move into my next task instead of wasting time scrolling through social media. The ads that play in order to earn more “suns” or “raindrops” I play them gladly since the developers definitely deserve their income with this app. Much love 💛

Corrected problem
Update: All ads that were offensive have been removed and I have not seen them in months. It took a while, but they did fix the problem. Update: the developer contacted me saying they would be contacting their ad provider and for a few weeks it was better. However, there are new ads with the same type of content today. Unfortunately, this app continues to not be safe for people under 18.
Original review: Excellent app in every way - except the soft porn advertisements that have just started. They render the app completely unusable. If you are going to show sexual bondage in your ads, your rating should be 17+ not 4+. Not for children for sure, but this adult doesn’t want to see this crap either.
