BBBY,
‘Folk Talk’ led me to the Folk Music Notebook.
‘Folk Talk’ was great! For me, it was an extension of being at the Hobo Convention last month. The program had music, interviews, stories and history of Hobo culture! I was proud to have my music included!

...and, Rik Palieri’s program led me to the app for ‘Folk Music Notebook’! It was in the nick of time as I had grown weary of my same old playlist. So...on Monday & Tuesday I listened into Folk Music Notebook on the App during my drive from Massachusetts to Florida. Great music, many of my friends. It put my mind squarely in Folk Music as I rehearse for a few shows in the sun.
Ukulele KayKay,
Folky Fun !
In my life - I have finally found a station I enjoy every single day. It is like hearing from dearest friends from long ago and then next meeting a brand new person singing lyrics that I immediately wish to learn and hear again, or share with my community.
Thanks for bringing so much joyful variety to the airwaves with Folk Music Notebook!
VTmuse,
A mixed bag of every type of folk music
I’ve heard some really wonderful performers on this stream and I’ve enjoyed many of the interviews that various hosts have aired. There’s also a fair amount of music that hasn’t appealed to me. Occasionally it’s “well intentioned” but as far as I’m concerned it’s not ready for prime time. So frequently I find myself switching channels. But I do keep coming back “to give it another chance.” Again, usually it’s not bad music just not material I like to listen to.
Fox Run Studio,
Here’s the radio station I move been looking for
No need to wait for that public radio show that plays “our music”. Here it is 24/7. I’ve heard so may artists who are new to me. Love it.
Mischief125450,
What an awesome find. Thank you, Christine Lavin.
I just discovered this through an email from Christine Lavin. What a treat this will be. Folk artists old and new... I love it. There’s certainly no place to get great programming like this...thank you!

Great way to access really well-curated Folk and Americana music new and old, especially Joltin Joe’s show The Train Wreck!

1st day and there’s been nothing unexciting, including some oldies we hadn’t heard for years.
