Description

FoodMood is a cute little app that helps & motivates you to write your food diary.

If you've ever tried to lose weight, or gain for that matter, you know how hard it is to keep track of the food you ate. All the apps out there come with a lot of bells and whistles that track your exercises and all, but instead of making it simple they over complicate the situation.

Well, that's why I've built FoodMood. I needed a fast, fun and easy way to keep track of the things I ate and keep a tab on the calories.

Deducting stars for the method of inputting calories. Instead of typing in numbers, which would be FAR more accurate (especially for people on very low calorie diets), the app currently uses a “wheel” of sorts which only goes in 50-calorie increments.

This also irks me because many people while attempting to lose weight do not track calories accurately. They assume that because something is “healthy” like a vegetable that it must be “negative calories” and therefore not count.

Your app just perpetuates the belief that not every calorie needs to be counted; that people can “guesstimate” calories eaten and still lose weight.

It’s ok though. I’ll just take it with a Diet Coke.

Great idea for an app! I like the ease and speed with entering info! Very casual and doesn’t make you feel bad about slipping up here and there!
