Description
"I ate three grapes", "A big bite of watermelon and 2 spoons of honey", "A fist-sized portion of rice"
With the help of AI, the way we use food calorie tracking tools has been completely transformed. You just need to use colloquial language to describe the food you eat. The AI will analyze the ingredients and their weights, then obtain nutritional information from a food database and display it to you.
Record with a single click, view charts, call on an AI nutritionist to comment on your daily food intake, and lead a healthier life.
The following are the features of FoodCa, and also my insistence as an individual developer:
No ads, not at all
Data is only stored in iCloud
A large text model specially optimized for food decomposition
AI nutritionist, making daily evaluations for you
Authoritative food nutrition database provides data support
And most importantly, it only serves as the simplest recording tool, without a community, without a store, without courses or any other messy things.
Developer's note: Since I started losing weight in June, I have lost 15 pounds so far. This time I didn't use any complicated methods, just the simplest and oldest "calorie deficit". I create a calorie deficit of about 500 calories every day, and the effect is surprisingly good.
During this process, I tried several calorie tracking tools, but without exception, they were either full of exaggerated ads or extremely bloated, cramming in too many things I didn't need. Moreover, the recording process of all tools was very cumbersome. I needed to "enter the food name" - "search" - "find the food" - "set the weight" - "add". The complexity of the process would make me lose the motivation to record and lose the perception of calorie deficit. So I decided to write a tool myself to meet the two needs of "extremely convenient recording" and "extremely pure function".
During the weight loss process, I completed the development of FoodCa and became a heavy user. It doesn't take up much of my time, but because of its existence, recording has become an interesting and anticipated thing for me. I hope it can also bring you such an experience.
